Long story short we were lucky to find a room here at the last minute -- they had only one open.  The room was one of the basic styles, comfortable, very clean, affordable and met our needs.  The staff was friendly and helpful.  The hotel is within walking distance to the beach -- literally 150 meters.  The hotel's view of the horizon is spectacular.  We were able to see what other room were available -- some were spacious with their own private patio.  There s a single small house also for rent, but the rental does not include breakfast as there is a kitchenette in it.  Another nice feature of the hotel was that it was within walking distance to good restaurants and a corner store.  We plan to stay there again.

Fabulous

We really enjoyed our 5 nights at La Posada. Our room had an amazing view of the beach and surrounding forest. We felt very welcomed as we arrived and checked in. The owners are very friendly and were accommodating. We got an extra small fridge for the room and a coffee maker. Breakfast was good with fresh fruits, eggs, and pancakes. 

Playa Carillo is a 5 minute walk from here. You can enjoy the beach from early in the morning to late in the evening. There's plenty of small restaurants around with good food and reasonable prices. The nearest town of Samara is a good tourist destination with lots of activities and is only 10-15 drive from La Posada.

Even though we were here for only 6 days, the vacation was very memorable. For our last night, the owners made us a reservation to dine with them and their daughter at a nearby Argentinian restaurant. The food and setting was great and we all had a good time.

Thank you so much Leo and Theo for your kindness and hospitality. We really hope to come back and stay at La Posada again in the future!

Beautiful stay and happy staff

Lautaro runs a great little hotel.  It's simple, clean and comfortable.  Breakfast (fresh fruit, eggs or pancakes, toast, tea, coffee, juice) is served each morning on their covered terrace with an awesome view of Playa Carrillo and the river valley below. A nice breeze keeps things comfortable. Wonderful wildlife sightings include iguanas, raccoons, howler monkeys, hummingbirds, and lots of other birds.  Dinner is offered with a menu of yummy pasta, empanadas, and a special in case you don't feel like going out.They will help you with activity planning/reservations too.

Nice B&B in Playa Carrillo with wonderful terrace!

This was one of the top experiences during our three week stay in Costa Rica. Amazing beach, beautiful hotel and super service-minded and friendly owner + staff. I can highly recommend la posada :)

We loved it!!!

We have traveled and stayed in many places throughout Costa Rica as well as Latin America and Europe; for the price, this place exceeded our expectations and we would definitely come back. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful location. We stayed in room one that had an Oceanview and would highly recommend it. Playa Carillo was a five minute walk or two minute drive; it was an amazing beach and they gave us hammocks to take to the beach, which was great!

Beautiful location

We had a room with a terrace overlooking the ocean and  it was great .La Posada is a tranquil place, with lots of charm  and managed by very kind hosts, located only 200 meters from beach. 
Leo and Theo were very accommodating, making reservations at nearby restaurants. Breakfast is complete with varied fruit and toasts.
The rooms overlooking the ocean are the best, the bathroom could be improved with a bit of a face-lift! 
We loved the open restaurant area where everyone gathers and socializes and from where sunsets are amazing. We will be back !

Sunsets to remember

We only stayed two nights, but we loved it. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the playa Carillo is absolutely beautiful. The food is really good. There is sunset yoga, I did not know and I wish I would have !

Welcoming and beautiful place

Rustic bnb about 200 meters from the most beautiful beach in CR. Rooms are basic, except for sea view rooms that have private balconies with rocking chairs and hammock. Friendly youthful staff, good eggs breakfast, peaceful setting.Very good value
