18 reviewsThis is a private reserve. They have short hiking/walking trails, ducks, geese, hummingbirds, two dogs, a cat, and some fish. They also have a wonderful variety of plants and flowers. It's not a botanic garden; it's more of an educational center for orchids. The staff is warm and helpful. We were here with an infant and a 5-year-old boy. They allowed my sons to feed the animals, which they loved. They also went out of their way to offer us breakfast away from the main dining area in a garden space that was gorgeous. The cabin we stayed in was spacious and had comfortable beds. For 120.000 pesos for two adults, including breakfast, your expectations need to be in check with the price. It included a large bathroom with hot water in the shower, a master bedroom, and a spacious living room with two single beds. It was surrounded by green. The breakfast was delicious. Eggs to your liking, arepas, bread, fresh fruit salad, fresh fruit, hot chocolate or coffee. My wife particularly liked the scrambled eggs with onion and tomato. She is Colombian, and she said it was among the best she's ever eaten. We will definitely return as the boys grow up, as they will enjoy different aspects at different ages. Diva was a patient and informative guide who led a truly interactive walk around the property.
