Obrao Grand Hotel

Binhai is a small sleepy town - took us a good 6 hours drive from Shanghai. The Obrao Hotel was a complete surprise. Very nice place. Lots of space in the room with a separate study table. This is one feature I really like in hotels. The bathroom was big and spacious. It also has these sensor activated lights, when you walk in to the bathroom or inside the closet, so that you do not have to hunt around for the switch. The breakfast was ok and nothing to write home about. But I would definitely rate this hotel very good, for the size and location of the property, as well as for the service that it provides.

Also, the last comment (certainly not the least), this hotel provides great value for money.

It has been a headache to find this hotel on Trip advisor, due to Chinese Pinyin and actual English hotel name. Anyway...
It is a magnificent hotel, with one sole purpose: to avoid a situation in which a guest needs something and does not find it. These people are Details Masters.
Comments cannot be ignored, true, but this place gives you the feeling that any comment will be unjustified.

Amazing Hotel in Binhai

OBRAO HOTEL. Same Same :)

Room good and clean, but too warm and no help from aircon (seemed that central AC did not function); requests to the hotel didn't give any outcome. Do-not-disturb could not be switched on, doorbell could not be disabled, requests to the hotel didn't give any outcome, got woken up from sleep. (My local colleague also spoke to the hotel, so could not have been the language problem.)

nice, but some annoying tech. problems

Hotel is an about 1 hour drive from Yancheng airport and an about 2 hour drive south of Lianyungang. 

Rooms are quite large. The shower and bathtub are separated from the bathroom, good size. Water quantity was average.

Beds are comfortable. 

Electric plugs are next to the bed and desk. Next to the bed even with some USB outlets, which I usually don't trust.

Internet was quite fast, with Facetime working well. The VPN was also more stable than in other hotels. It was Wifi based. 

Breakfast was large, but actually not too many choices for western dishes. I know this is a hotel where 99,9% of all guests are Chinese, but it would be nice to have more than butter and toast. The orange juice was also below average. 

So not bad, but not yet very good. I would stay there however gladly again, as this might be the only 5 star hotel in the region.

Hardware is good, but the everything else just average

This hotel was average to me, it is not good but not bad. The room is spacious and big. But the temperature inside the hotel room is good, but it was a bit cold by the lobby because the door was left open.

Staff member were generally friendly. Breakfast was average with limited varieties. I think the daily breakfast is something Obrao hotel should make improvements on.
