There are 2 property for Hanting Express at Zhongshan road, one is this and the other one is at Dazhong Road. I stayed at the Dazhong Road one which was open only 1 month ago and was not on the net yet. Tripadvisor wants me to write my review for Dazhong Road here so I decide to write a good one to praise all the workers who has made my stay at the Dazhong Road branch a memoriable one. After a bad night stay at the hotel opposite, we made enquiry with Hanting at Dazhong Road and they have rooms for 8 of us and they gave us a private corner with just the 4 rooms for us. They were also very helpful in providing us information on where to eat and where to shop and also how far is those destination that we want. There are also coffee and tea dispensal at the lobby and some discount card for some food and shopping place at the lobby. What was most commenable about these staff at Hanting Dazhong Road was that on the last day when we wanted a taxi to get to Xiamen International Airport , they help us flag for one, bring our luggage up the taxi and refuse to get one cent of tips from us. They told us it is their job to make our trip easy and be helpful which I find that it is a very good attitude.

A good stay

there is no lifts to the reception at first level, we had to carry our luggage up 2 sets of stairs. booking in is easy and staffs are friendly, although there is no heating in the room, bit cold in winter nights.
Bus stops at front and also opposite the hotel, transport is convenient. 
Not recommended for people with big luggage or elderly or young families.

We booked with Trips.com for 4 nights. Arrived the hotel in a raining night around 830pm. Only to informed our rooms were cancelled as we did not confirmed our rooms. What the ****! What is the purpose of having Credit card as guarantee? Although the front desk tried to find another hotel for us, and all hotels they called were fully booked. We managed to get another hotel Gem Hotel just 100m away from this terrible hotel. And Gem hotel is far better than this hotel. 
I’m really disappointed with Trip.com, the customer service does not help at all. I had been using them for my booking from really my trip to china, and this were second times being played out by them. 
Looks like I have the source for another China booking agent.
Avoid this hotel or you may face the same situation like me.
