Easy walk to downtown.  Shops, coffee shops and groceries nearby.  We stayed in the Burma suite which is 2 large rooms, one with a queen bed and the other with kitchen, TV, and table and chairs looking out over the garden.  Though large the bedroom is sparsely furnished and dimly lit at night partly due to missing bulb in one of the lamps.  Suite has lots of natural light in the daylight hours.  Kitchen is well equipped  including a  coffee grinder, but unfortunately no coffee maker of any kind.  We requested a coffee maker by e-mail (no staff on premises) but none materialized over our 3 day stay.  The couch is uncomfortable for watching TV - more like a padded bench.
I wouldn't say it is a cozy place but it was clean, bed very comfortable  and overall our stay was pleasant enough.

Convenient location in lovely neighbourhood.

Dirty dustpan stored on open rack above clean towels. Dirty towels stuffed in bathroom drawer. Soap the size and thickness of a loonie. We left windows open to air out room, but that stench is ingrained somewhere. Oh yeah, garbage bag of previous guest left outside of door, in lobby. No call to the main office was going to get that room unskunked in an hour. Even longer term tenant said the rot smell was always there. Unbelievable. Protect your health and stay elsewhere. Main bed was extremely comfy, second pullout bed was painful to sleep in.

Upon arrival we tried to wash our face before bed and every one of the hand and face towels had black hairs on them,  Then we looked at the bath towels and they all had brown streaks on them.  They looked as if someone had wiped their backside on them!  We were not sure they had even been washed ;(  Bleck..Gross.  We called to request a change of towels and no one answered or called us back. Then we looked at the pillow cases and they also had hairs on them.  At this point we could not be certain any of the linens had been cleaned, or if the room in fact had been cleaned or sanitized.  We ended up leaving the place at 10;15 at night due to the lack of cleanliness and Covid risk.  The next day when we spoke to a manager she stated that "the washing machine sometimes puts hairs on the towels" and that the towels "could have been stained" not dirty.  This is unacceptable for an establishment providing hygienic services to the public to respond in this way.  Hairs spread lice and dirty towels can spread Covid and other communicable diseases.  Do not stay here if you value your health and well being.  They will not treat you respectfully if you have a concern.  They have refused to issue a refund despite the fact that we were only in the room for 15 minutes and were unable to stay due to the lack of cleanliness.

Unsanitary and Unhygienic During Covid!  Disgusting!

I rented all three of the suites out for out of town guests who came to my wedding. Everyone was pleased with the suites and thought the service was excellent. The backyard was perfect for relaxing and enjoying some downtown together with enough space for physical distancing! I would definitely recommend them!

Beautiful suites and AMAZING location!

The decor is nice on the surface, but the place is old and falling apart. The location is good. The appliances are old. It's impossible to keep the place clean, so I don't recommend it for more than a few days. The minute you sweep, there is more dust on the floor. 

Some of the people in management are downright nasty. Worst of all, the contract says that if you have to leave early you will not get back your damage deposit - a hefty 800+ dollars for the month. Hey, management, it's a damage deposit! If the place isn't damaged, take that clause out of the contract Also, you have to pay extra for heating, and they have definitely added on something like 30% to the meter because the heating bills are exorbitant. Expect to pay about $400/month extra for heating in winter. 

The management is located in the hostel downtown and you cannot meet them, even if you ask to - you are told that you cannot. You have to ask staff for what you need and they talk to management. Then management says no, because they have unbending policies, without the ability to do what's needed in the moment, which is very bad for a longer stay. 

It says there is a desk, but there isn't. There is a (too) tall table with an uncomfortable dining chair that is about 14 inches too low for the table (which they call a desk). Definitely not a place to work. 

For a few days it could be okay. If you are staying for longer than that, LOOK ELSEWHERE! I gave it 2 stars only because it's got a good location.

Good on the surface. Old and run-down - Avoid it for a longer stay.

This was a very relaxing experience.  The suite was in a beautiful heritage home in a quiet neighborhood on a tree lined street just a few minutes walk from the inner harbor and the gardens of Beacon Hill Park.  The kitchen was well equipped....lots of hot water, good wifi connection.  Please be aware that the check in and key pick up is at a different location downtown (at the hostel) but still very easy access and helpful staff.  This is not a five star hotel but a quaint old home with original wood floors, crown moldings and lovely stained glass accents in the windows.
