This is a quaint in with a lot of character.  For this you give up some convenience--a certain lack of counter space in the bathroom, no TV in room (although there is one in the common room), etc.  The hosts were accomodating and polite.  I had not appreciated when I made the reservation that the auberge is a good 15 minutes outside of Rimouski proper, and there aren't many restaurants or other conveniences nearby.  It is however very close to the Parc National du Bic.

Charming inn outside of Rimouski

If you want high speed internet, mod cons and in room tv then this is not the place for you. If however, you want a friendly personable host, character environment and interest/ history around you, then this is a lovely option. Each room is individual with different decor, different size bed and not all have en-suites, so choose your room carefully to ensure you get the amenities you want. We opted for Cosmos which has an en-suite and king bed on the second floor. The room is simply furnished using an eclectic assortment of furniture from years gone by. The upside of this is the novelty and appearance, the downside is that some are not as comfy as one may like (the sofa in our room for example). The bed was comfortable, the bathroom looked attractive with its claw foot bath but the downside of that was that it wasn’t that easy to shower in. 
I was thankful the evening was cool as we couldn’t open the window to the front and I wouldn’t have opened the windows on the side as there was a wrap round deck from an outside stairway giving easier access to the second floor.
Breakfast was included and was very tasty, freshly and individually cooked :)
The host was very welcoming and while he spoke no English and my French is shameful, he went out of his way to help us arrange dinner reservations and anything else we needed.

Historical bed and breakfast

Given that there was no AC, it would have been nice to be able to open the windows, but they were un-openable. Thankfully they had a little fan. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was quite good.

Property is well located and very convenient to restaurants. Room was comfortable. Lovely tub but not easy getting in and out of the shower .   Breakfast was nice with homemade sweets

The auberge looks very cute on the outside but it is deceptive. Dinner is no longer available on site and we had drive 18km into Rimouski one night and ate at a cafe in the village on the second because we did not feel like another long drive to dinner. Breakfast was ok. Our room had a small claw foot bathtub with a very difficult to use shower in it. The worst feature of our stay was the train passing behind the building honking its horn twice during the night. The second night of our stay, fortunately, this did not happen and we slept well as we were so tired from the first sleepless night.

Noisy

Place is unique. Breakfast was really good and lots of food and variety. The staff were very nice and worked around our really bad French. Coming from Saskatchewan we don't get to practice much. It was very appreciated.

This Inn is authentic, that is its brand. This comes with an old stye ambiance, old wooden floor and furnitures, which really gives the charm of this place. Now, there are some flaws coming with this, approximate working shower, limited noice isolation, but the mood is real. But this is really a trade-off, I guess, to get authenticity. Besides, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very kind.

Warm and very welcoming staff. Very well-maintained inn and nicely decorated. Amazing breakfast.

We spent two nights here.  Good location for the park.  Situated in the heart of the old village of Bic which is clustered along the railway line.  The building is a rambling slightly ramshackle/charming, depending how you see things, place that dates back to the 1840’s.  An antique.  Some of the furniture and the fixtures show their age.  The breakfast was quite a spread with some hot items like scrambled eggs, bacon and beans kept warm in heated containers, and cereal, yoghurt, fruit salad, cheese, bread for toasting, croissants and a wide variety of sweet dishes, including baked goodies, fruit crumbles, cookies, sweet loaves etc. The coffee and tea were not stellar by any means.  There were two pods in the our room and a Keurig machine which made way better coffee once we could get it to work!  Not easy! Do all the steps in the correct sequence and don’t let any time lapse between steps!  Worth staying here overall.  Like a step back in time.....

An aging dowager of an inn, but lots of ambience!

The worst hotel in Quebec. After check-out they accuse me of stealing a pillow and withdrawing money from my credit card. also the hotel is noisy and "rains" in the breakfast room.                       to avoid, there are better hotel
