his is an excellent property with a most gracious host and friendly Husky. The bed was very comfortable and relaxing. The decor is Art Deco and is to be admired. The 1920's toasters are such a wonderment. I simply felt I had been transported to a calmer time. The breakfast is much more than expected, complete and elegantly presented. I very much enjoyed staying here for three nights. 

Close to bus stop which made getting about easy.

Warm and inviting, a joy

We arrived at the lovely Aux Annees Folles in the evening and were greeted by the owner and host Jean Daoust with a beverage and treat. The home's architecture and all of it's furnishings are from or reminiscence of the Art Deco style so popular in the Roaring Twenties era. The home has won several awards for this excellent accomplishment. There is a cozy front porch area and inside living/sitting area where we could relax, read and discuss our day in the city. We shared a commodious bathroom with guests in the other bedroom on the 2nd floor. Towels of course, but even bathrobes and slippers were included. Breakfast was included, and every morning we enjoyed a delicious and beautifully presented feast. Jean knows his city very well and had brochures, maps, and special hand drawn guides to lead us to the favourite spots in Quebec City. He was a particularly fine host in all respects. If we needed something special he provided it at once. It was our first visit and he made it easy and fun. Our location was also excellent. City bus transportation is immediately available and very reasonable. It is only a15 minute ride to the Old Walled Quebec City area and covers the entire city area including a lovely ride to the famous Montmorency Waterfalls. It was nice to retire a bit outside of the bustle of the city for nighttime. The local area has several good places to eat.  All in all we heartily recommend Aux Annes Folles for a stay in Quebec City.
Jean has a quiet and friendly dog named Yusky who enjoys a pet, but is non-interruptive for anyone who is not a pet lover.

Our 8 night stay was a delight!

3 of us and our 2 dogs stayed here this past August long weekend and loved Aux Annees Folles! Our host was kind, funny, bilingual, helpful and an extremely good cook. Breakfast one morning was crepes and the other morning french toast, with a hearty choice of fruit, yogurt, banana bread, 3 varieties of fresh baked bread. The rooms are wonderful, spacious, nicely decorated, quiet, and we were so glad to be able to take our dogs along. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Quebec City! Only about 10 mins. drive from downtown, and lots to eat in his quaint neighbourhood.

Wonderful stay, fantastic host

I stayed here with my 10 year old daughter. The room was clean and quaint. The shared bathroom was also clean and held all amenities. The proprietor politely encouraged my poor French with some gentle corrections (which I asked for). Breakfast was Quebecois crepes made just for us with fruit and toast, etc. We were given great info on how to continue our journey and what to see and do. Very pleasant experience. Merci beaucoup.
