We spent five enjoyable nights with Joy and Laurent.
	They are energetic, people-loving, conscientious, and caring 24/7.
	Because we had called ahead to tell Joy we would arrive in approximately 20 minutes, she was standing at the roadside to greet us as we arrived. 
	Our favorite surprise came on Debra’s birthday morning. On our breakfast table waited a balloon declaring, “Bonne Fete.” (Yes, they get very personal with their guests.)
	Languages (that we know of): Filipino, French, and English.
	Modern Accommodations and Amenities: Our attractive, orderly, clean room with full bath is approximately 12 X 25. (We wish it could have been a little larger and consider it a hotel room that has been efficiently down-sized.) It has everything we needed for our extended stay. The furniture (bed, mattress, and bed tables; corner table and chairs; and dresser drawers) is well made and comfortable. Also, the room we occupied, along with other guest rooms, is on the ground level. For breakfast we went upstairs to the main floor, which is open to the kitchen, dining, and living areas.
	Location: Excellent. Le Domaine… is located approximately 30 minutes between Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier and Vieux Quebec. Figure an additional 15 minutes to reach Ile d’Orleans and the falls at Montmorency and 30-45 minutes to reach the the church Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre. Also, Rue des Epinettes Rouges is a quiet (motorized watercraft are not allowed on Lac Saint Charles), well-shaded, residential street…perfect for walking and jogging. Also, also, Le Domaine… is 10 minutes from a grocery store, a liquor store, and Pizzeria Circuit. (We ate there twice as well as at Pascal Le Boulanger…15 minutes.)
	Their guest list is very international. We spoke with guests from China and France. Joy showed us her world map on which she sticks pins of her guests’ homes. We were happy to add our own pin.
	Bonuses: While we were there, (October, 2017) they were in the process of renovating the grounds around their B&B. Once that’s finished, they are going to add a small lake behind their B&B. Also, one of their neighbors, besides the early morning deer, is a black squirrel.

Beautiful scenery 15 minutes away from downtown Québec, Valcartier and Stoneham.

I recommend this establishement to anyone!

Sweet, warm and understanding

I'd like to give the rating as 3.5.  I really feel like the reviews and the photos shown are misrepresentative of the property.  The chateau itself is beautiful as shown, the three guest rooms are as shown, but, the house does not sit on Lac St. Charles, nor does it even have a view of Lac St. Charles from the house.  There is a path across the street to a small dock on the lake.   Rooms are clean and well appointed, but small.  The only sitting area in the room is at two small wooden chairs at a small table.  The grounds are being developed, and will be very nice in years to come.  They are putting in a small man made lake on the property, so that will increase the outside ambiance.  We did not have access to the outside upper porch, though in good weather I presume people can sit out there.  There are photos that show a sitting area, but we definitely did not have access to a common sitting area / living room as that is the owner's private living room.  Breakfasts are serve in the family area, right in the owner's kitchen.  The breakfasts were very good, not a lot of variety, but good.  Joy, the owner, is very enthusiastic and helpful.  Also, there is nothing else around this B & B.  We had to drive at least 10, maybe 20 minutes for a place to eat each night.  You can't always get restaurants within walking distance of places to stay, but we'd like more options closer to where we are staying.  This is a really nice place to stay as long as the issues I outlined are okay with you.

Property Views and facilities are not as advertised / presented here

Beautiful log cabin building. Our room was a good size as well as the bathroom. The hosts were great and accommodating. The grounds were very nice. There is a path to the lake that is hard to find. You can look at the lake but there really isn’t access. Quiet residential area. A good brewery nearby. Breakfast was wonderful. It was hot and humid for our stay. A fan was provided in the room, but it was damp.
