Arrived late at night in November and got a room.... no heat in the room (shut off) 1 sheet and 1 blanket on the bed and a bed cover that probably hadn't been washed in.... weeks/months??  Bed was comfortable.  Shower was luke warm in the morning for half the shower and then went cold....guess I used up the allotment in the first 3 minutes.  Heard people talking outside the room at 6am, cars starting, people walking by.  
It was $140 a night but it should have been $40 ..... really cannot recommend.
At 3am, there aren't many options but driving another half hour to Chilliwack would have been the smarter move if I'd known.  

Only as a last resort

This hotel is disgusting. We literally booked and left 10 mins later. Cost was 174.00, room stunk as soon as we opened the door. It is old and dingy. I could of dealt with the smell. But I pulled the blankets off the beds and looked at sheets. There was multiple long and short hairs in both beds. 
We grabbed out stuff and went back down, told them the problem. He argued that since I messed the beds there would be no refund. I said there will be a refund because it stank and there was hairs on the sheets and I would not stay there. 
Drive the extra hour and stay in Merritt. Every hotel in Hope seems like a dump. 

Dirty and disgusting

I arrived back at my room after picking up snacks to find the floor was under water. Quick investigation found the water had come from room above. I informed the front desk and he gave me towels to clean the floor with. My entire floor was a giant puddle so I put my stuff on the furniture hoped the ceiling would hold for the night. The people in the room with the burst pipe also went to the front desk for help and were told that there wasn’t any water running across their floor and down into the room below…

Bring a mop and gum boots 

It is 6am and we have had no sleep. The room is disgusting. The light comes in through the space in the door frame. The vertical blinds don’t close and it was like daylight all night long. When the people upstairs turned on the shower at 5:30 the screeching sound was so loud it was like they were here in this room. We can hear their tv and they are making a continuous grating noise and walking back and forth. The walls are like paper. The room looks like it’s never been cleaned and it hasn’t been updated in decades. It’s hard to believe anyone could rent this out for over $200 a night and still look at their face in the mirror. We stayed out of desperation.  Avoid it like the plague. I hope we haven’t caught something ugly from staying here.

DISGUSTING!

Over priced, dismal, horrific baseboards. Checked in by mistake, thought it was neighbouring motel. Big sign saying no refunds should have warned me,  sheets were clean, ample soaps, bathroom apart from baseboards and tub moulding appeared clean.  Dark, inside, …………

Misnamed Royal Lodge

Wow!!  Had I not  pulled up on a motorcycle, I would have slept in my car.

Bathroom was gross and not clean, dust, hair and pubics on the toilet base, baseboards and walls not cleaned for ages.  Will not be showering in that!!

Place looks like it was painted some time ago, though my eight year old neice  could have done a better job…sloppy work.

Mat  on floor is covering up a soft spot on the floor that feels like your foot could go through to the lower level.

All furniture, bedding and liens are old and worn… bed was not level, TV is not watchable as the tube is too dark. 

Fire extinguishers 8 months past inspection date!!

Sorry, nothing nice to say about this place!

A Disgusting Dump - Stay away!

Just a mess…should be shut down and massively renovated.  Front desk clerk is friendly enough but the rooms are “less than stellar…or even adequate”.  Hesitate to recommend even if desperate…last place in town with available rooms which should be telling.

Tired, worn out, over-priced

Im glad they had a pet friendly room… but make this one last your last resort..

Rooms are not clean for the $240 a night they need to do some serious upgrades. 

Bathtub had hair in it, towels were not even white anymore. The room smelled really bad. The AC didn’t work, TV was a tube TV… beds hard as a rock.

Make this your last, or sleep in your car!

very dirty Motel! toilet was dirty, bed sheets were stained and had other people hair on the bedding! the walls and ceiling had dirt smears.. rooms are covered in dust! very little toilet paper. no extras! very poor presentation for $200/night! I would avoid! Hotel manager refused to show us room before paying..  the "NO REFUND" policy, is a good indication that there were many complaints for money back. AVOID this place!

very unclean!!

The hotel owner double charged me on my credit Card and he refused to refund me. The police said that it is not a police matter and this hotel is not bbb accredited.  I can only leave a bad review online.  Beware!
