My friend and I stayed for 8 nights. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The pool is nice after a day trip out. Most of the staff were friendly and greeted us every day as we came and went. If you are looking for a good and reliable tuk tuk driver for your stay we recommend Mr Chin (0888955507). His English is good, and he knows all the sites.

Basic but comfortable

April 2016:  I'm doing a tour of southern Cambodia with my Khmer wife, Yim, and we were looking for a reasonably-priced place to base ourselves in Koh Kong.  The 'discounted' room price of $13 [booked through Agoda] is reasonable.  The room has A/C and internet and is very clean.  We've had none of the noise issues experienced by previous reviewers, though this might be because the heat at this time of year keeps a lot of people away.  The staff tried a little too hard to sell their Koh Kong island trip, but otherwise they have been reasonably helpful.  The place doesn't have much character, but we're only using it as a base from which to explore the area and, as such, it's fine.

We had to carry out a visa run from Cambodia and the hotel we had stayed in before, which we liked and were going to book again, was full so booked here.

Initially was put off by the reviews- love motel etc so had fairly low expectations but we found the place  to be perfectly fine.

The guy at reception was friendly, he showed us to our room. Room was basic and clean. It had hot water- which after 4 months of cold water showers felt a luxury and a TV with many stations on it.

For under $10 a night I would say this is pretty good value and don't be afraid of he other reviews 

Basic and good

Caters to screaming juvenile chain smokin mainland Chinese dam workers who bring attractive sex workers all night. Exciting the staff and tuk  tuk drivers. Leave kids and sleep at.home. 2 floors full of mozzies. Very sad.

Basically a loud love motel 2am to 6am

We booked our stay 2 days beforehand with booking.com. We arrived around 8pm so we were really glad we finally arrived.
When I showed my booking, there was no room reserved. The lady at the reception got angry to her collegues and started yelling to someone on the phone. She said she had a room but she didn't got a confirmation by booking.com so she couldn't help us. 
Apparently there was another couple already waiting for an hour in the lobby with the same problem. 
I can understand that on such short notice things can go wrong but when you run a guesthouse or hotel you should be able to help you customers. She didn't call another place to check if there was room in fact she did nothing at all. They were discussing and yelling at eachother with no result or solution. 
They said everything else in koh kong was full. After a few minutes looking on the internet we found a place and asked if they wanted to call but they refused. We called and there was a room available so we left...
