While the rooms are basic, they are clean with windows and good ventilation. Kool Kampot is located off the main road that leads alongside the riverfront. It is surrounded by trees and of course, the balcony overlooks the waterway and mountains (this is a rare find). I had experienced noise pollution in most guesthouses. Equally, it was a rarity to find a place that provided a balance of nature and locality, near to the town. When you pay for your room at Kool Kampot, it will mostly compliment your quality of sleep, air, and overall serenity. This is important if you will be adventuring (climbing, cycling, caving, abseiling, etc). Lastly, you can choose if you would like to socialize without common pressures since there are 2 exits at the front and the back. This is a keeper for those who are more sensitive and on a budget.
