This is a nice, budget hotel, with a beer terrace and superb restaurant.  Very reasonable prices both for room, meals and drinks.  Parking is free, but in nearby streets, but I believe they have a few spaces off road, beside the hotel.  Rooms are spacious and have cable TV and free WiFi.  From memory (5 months ago) the screens are quite small.

Bathrooms are large, but don't have non-slip tiles, so care is needed.  There is no lift here.  Staff are super friendly and helpful and will happily carry you luggage to and from your room, a tip is always appreciated.

Very close to the city centre and transport and there are nice views over the River Danube, close by.  Highly recommended.

Great restaurant with friendly staff.

We only paid £82 for three nights half board so probably our expectations should have been lowered accordingly! On the plus side the food was really nice as were the traditional and modern bars.  Now the downside - the room!  It's really not a good idea to attempt carpeting on top of tiles, amply demonstrated by it being loose in several places. We bought slippers!  Wet room was enormous however let down by poor lighting and more worryingly the horrendously strong ammonia fumes which appeared to emanate from the floor drain.  With the door closed you felt liable to succumb to gassing.  We literally could not have spent another night in the room! Fortunately the beds were comfortable and clean (although you had to make them up yourself!).

Nice bar, shame about the room!

On a quiet street just 50 meters from the Danube and a short walk to main square. Wifi in the room was problematic. Communication with some of the staff was another problem, but they are okay people. My room was spacious. Shower and toilet worked well. The place was clean. Very good breakfast. Great value compared to what you get for the same price in Varna or Sofia.
Had wanted to extend my stay, but at the reception they told me this was only possible at a substantially higher price than through booking (website). 20% difference. For this reason I left with a rather negative feeling.

Great value at a good location

I booked a double room and ended up in a room with 4 single beds. It wouldn't have been a problem it the beds were at least made - only one had sheets and pillow. The room is dated, painting on the walls is terrible and could need more cleaning. There was not so much noise on the street. Location is great. Free parking on the street. Breakfast was decent but hard to communicate as the staff did not speak English.

Just if you need a place to crash

I got two nights in a twin room for £23 reserving with Booking.com but not paying until I arrived.  I had an ensuite bathroom, including towels, soap, shower gel, air conditioning, wifi and a TV (poor reception with no English language channels but a couple of music and news channels).
The hotel was in a great location a couple of minutes from the Danube and just off the main square.  However, it was very noisy with children screaming outside until very late at night; the curtains did not close properly, one of the electrical sockets looked very dangerous and the shower flooded the whole of the bathroom floor.  Having said that it was very good value for money and around 25 minutes walk to the bus and train stations.
