Sonja and her mom are very friendly hosts - they help with any information and I got great coffee :) the old town is really just a few steps away. The hostel is clean and the kitchen very well equipped.

Great place close to the old bridge

I visited 62 countries and this hostel is definitively one of my favorite ever ! 
The location is perfect ! (5 minutes walking from the old bridge, close to all amenities you need).
The price is so cheap and for this you have air conditioning in the room (you really need it in summer), a so quiet terrace ... Room is big, confortable and cleant everyday ... And wonderful wifi connection ! 
But best of the best : Sonja and her family ! Wonderful people who made everything to help me during my stay in Mostar but even also for all my trip in Bosnia ! Mervelous people who share whatever they Can with you (Bosnian coffee, pizzas ...) 
And they propose a tour to visit the surroundings of Mostar ... I highly recommand this tour cheaper than in town !

Amazing place in Mostar !

A very nice clean hostel, near center of what's to be seen in area, there very helpful with information on stuff to do & see they sedjest according to you style or budget . Staff aka owners are very welcoming & helpful, stores near by if you choose to cook in kitchen well stocked, if not breaded shop & reasonable price restaurant near by..! Bus to local sites is near by, train & long distance bus not so far..! Booked 1 day stayed a few found from them much more to see in area & can use here a center locations for near by 1/2 or day trips. 
Please support small business like these during these hard times shame already so many small hostel accommodation closed down ..! There safe & clean ..! Most likely more so than big cooperative type places..!  Ps for some reason would not let me post photos

Nice clean friendly hostel

We absolutely loved our stay here. Sonja and her mother are wonderful hard working women who will go out of their way to help you and aid any tiny discomfort. The hostel is an amazing location, a short taxi ride from the bus station and right in the middle of Old Town. I would recommend future guests to keep in mind the small price that the hosts ask of you to stay here. It is not a 5 star hotel but a wonderful family run business. We absolutely loved Mostar and will be back! Thank you Sonja!

The hostel is really close to the old town with a prime location. Staff are so nice and helpful. Even offered us watermelon on a hot summer day! Room is clean, AC is in perfect working condition. Bed is comfy. Highly recommend 

Nice place close to old town

I don’t know if there is much more that I can say about this hostel that hasn’t already been said in the comments. We stayed here for two nights and found this to be a great hostel.

Sonja is an incredible host: very friendly and helpful, great local knowledge, and she even printed our bus tickets for us. The hostel feels like a family business and everyone is very welcoming.

The hostel itself is clean and compact, and for the price you pay for it, is incredibly good value.

If I was going back to Mostar I would stay here again for sure.

Sonja is a great host

I seriously cannot reccomend this hostel more. A family business who care very deeply for their guests. Myself and my friends were blown away by how kind and inviting they have been! They recommend all the best places to visit and are always willing to lend a hand! If ever visiting, you MUST book this hostel!!! Thankyou so much Mostar Downtown Hostel!!!

Best hostel I have ever stayed in!!!

Sonja is incredible! Makes you feel like home the second you step through the door. She makes the best coffee as well 😀
The hostel is just 5 mins walk from the Old Bridge and the Old Town. There’s a bakery and a shop right next to the hostel. 
The hostel offers an amazing Hercegovina tour and transfer to many locations and even if it doesn’t Sonja will sort it out for you! 🙂
I stayed there twice already and I know I’ll be back. One of the best hostels I ever stayed in!

Amazing hostel and a fantastic host!

Myself and two of my friends had a fantastic single night at this hostel. Sonja (owner) is hands down a highlight. She was incredibly hospitable, funny and always willing to help out. She picked us up from the train station, did our washing and even drove us to kotor the next day! The accommodation is lovely as well and super well placed near the old town. Be careful of her sarcasm! She fooled us that a group of Australians had broken the bridge and proceeded to crack up laughing us we passed over another bridge and saw the beautiful Stari Moss completely intact. Would very much recommend this place.
