I was in a beautiful little apartment.  Lots of space with the bathroom newly renovated.  Great parking. Tranquil setting. Plenty of space. Clean and spacious. Sign at front of property possibly needs to have bush cut around it as we did go straight past.

Beautiful Setting with Great Informal Serivce

The well equipped kitchen, with its single cereal bowl was a bit disappointing. Porridge for breakfast was a slow process. The floors were grubby and needed a good mop.  We had to give the microwave a clean before we used it. And the microwave is a convection oven too, I think, but none of us knew how to use the oven part. The bottom of the fridge, under the crisper was filthy. The barbecue, which is apparently cleaned daily, could do with a proper scrub now and then. The beds were excellent and the ceiling fans in the bedrooms were great.

Not as clean as you'd expect.

Despite two earlier positive reviews I have to say Eliza’s is slipping.

As seen in other reviews the furniture needs replacing.  Poor maintenance has crept in with broken screen doors, toilet roll holder and the like.

Lack of bins available for rubbish.

Dust, dead insects, a razor from a previous guest in shower and generally poor housekeeping.

A shame really.

THINGS ARE DIFFERENT

Not very clean.  Vacuumed up countless dead spiders, and webs.   The iron was unbelievable.  Manager !!!! Never to be seen until she wanted some money.  Would not recommend this place at all, we had booked for a week unfortunately, but we bailed out early..  FayefromOz

Never again

We were travelling south from Tamworth to Melbourne and googled motels in Tocumwal and found Eliza's and booked by phone.  The cottage was very traditionally furnished but very comfortable and ideal for our purposes.  They don't provide breakfast or even milk for a cup of tea, but it was well-equipped and a lovely setting.  It is also very convenient for the golf club with a walking track direct from the property.  The peacocks in the trees were an additional feature!  Very good.
