Room was nice, location was great and desk staff were helpful but the place was really poorly run. The kitchen was tiny for the number of people, lots of things were faulty and was really poorly stocked with crockery. The bar had ran out of drink and the kitchen had ran out of food. Being on an island isn't really an excuse for that, it's only a 40 minute ferry ride to townsville. Some of our friends were in a room (a 4 person dorm on an old bus) which had no lock which was a little odd. In some cheaper hostels this might be fine, but people often pay a premium to stay in selinas

Great hostel!! Really chilled relaxed vibes, everywhere was super clean and staff were so friendly! Good location as well, bus stop right outside and the beach a 5 minute walk away. Loved the free yoga class as well!

Selena, Magnetic Island is in the most beautiful place.  The chalet is one of the most comfortable we stayed in all trip. And as for the staff, they were humorous and helpful…nothing was too much for them and we would go there again, 5 Star!

Beautiful is what it is!

As a solo traveller this was a great place to meet others …. for example during social hour on my first evening Phil was kindly producing pitchers of cocktail for us on the house - thanks Phil! Also Anica is a new employee and you would think she has been here for years, so welcoming! Love the rattan and the wallaby

A fantastic and relaxed atmosphere. Staff are wonderful!

It’s a very small wildlife park but very informative guide. Interactive - able to pat a wombat, koala, cockatoo and snake. Great value for $40. They also have free bird feeding at 4:15 and a $4 happy hour starting at 4pm.  So had some bubble s then fed some birds.

Came here for the wildlife tour. Fabian led the tour and was a great guide. Fabian provided us with lots of information about the different animals we saw and also made sure we all felt comfortable with the opportunities to handle some of the animals. It was an enjoyable tour getting up close to some of Australia's incredible native animals.

Great hostel for backpackers. Good nightlife and nice staff. Wildlife area close to the hostel to see koalas as well as a bird feeding show on every day which is brilliant. The hostel is located in horseshoe bay which is accessible by transport from Nelly bay very easily.

Great hostel with wildlife!

Great Hostel for backpackers! The hostel has a lot of activities on each day which makes it very easy to socialise. The staff were really friendly and helped us whenever we needed. 
They do bird feeding every day which has become a bit of an attraction on the island! It’s a little outside of the main horseshoe bay, but this suited us as we had transport😊 Overall, a great place for backpackers! 

Ps. Look out for the wild koalas!
