The photos are old and this place dose not look like this any more the only positive was the host was lovey and the bed was comfortable but that’s where it ended we booked and paid for two nights and had two rooms it was that bad we left after the first night completely disappointed first room smelt like mold and was not clean the the second room smelt like dog and my sister who was staying in the room vomited because the smell was so strong and fowl the place is so run down that the railing on the veranda nearly fell off when lent on the parking and road up to the place is crazy had to do a 5 point turn to just get out of the place I would not recommend anyone to stay there complete health hazard and a waste of money we did not touch the food so can’t comment to scared to

MY HUSBAND I AND BOOKED THE TENT FOR 2 NIGHTS EVEN THOUGHT THE PLACE IS REALLY TRANQUIL NEEDS SOME WORK AND ALSO NEED TO UP LOAD  SOME NEW PHOTOS AS THE ONES ON BOOKING .COM ARE FROM EARLY DAYS WHEN IT WAS NEW DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THAT NOW THE PEOPLE ARE LOVELY AND VERY ACCOMMINDATING .

Buyer Beware!

This place may have been good in its heyday but that has long passed.
I would suggest that if you cannot do a proper inspection in person do not waste your money.
Normally, I would not write a negative review as I am aware that this is a person’s livelihood, but I would be concerned for any guest, particularly any with chronic health conditions like asthma.
The photos used to advertise this accommodation bear little resemblance to what is there now.
This accommodation would have to be considered a health hazard.

Buyer Beware!

Friendly hosts is about all you get for your money. This might have been a nice little hideaway once, but hasn't seen a cent spent on it since construction.

The entire place is in a state of disrepair, everything is dirty, covered in mould, dirt, leaf debris etc
The room we stayed in smelt of mould and mildew, was in dire need of a deep clean. The ensuite was barely clean, shower cubicle was cracked through the tiles and toilet had to be fixed and it nearly overflowed. This got fixed while we were out, but the room was left unlocked, so belongings including a guitar were left unsecured. The blinds provide no privacy into the room as they leave large gaps, so you can provide a show to the other guests if you're not careful. 

The actual grounds appear to be completely neglected with old bits of pipe, plastic hose and other junk strewn around, didn't try the pool but I suspect that it would be neglected as well. 

The food that was provided for breakfast seemed OK, so went out to light the bbq to cook the bacon and eggs and found that it was caked with grease and left over food bits, was actually pretty disgusting, so we just through it in our little esky and left. 

Overall a completely disappointing experience. GIven the price of the accommodation and the pics of the rooms and surrounds I think the owners are being deceitful.

Such a disappointment

Very rustic & laid back but if you stayed in a place like this close to sea you would pay double the amount so we found it value for money
Facilities could be updated & leaky roof in shower/bathroom bit annoying but overall we enjoyed being right amongst the Australian bush with views out every window

We just spent 4 nights over NY here and had lovely relaxing time despite rain for whole time

We were met by Mike with a good warm welcome after negotiating the rather steep gravel driveway. The place failed to live up to advertising and expectations in that the breakfast failed to be the delicious one in the photo but due to corvid was a packet of bacon and some eggs in the fridge. The promised bread did not arrive.
The morning shower did not happen as there was no water. All this could be put up with but not at $180 per night. Far too expensive for what was delivered

Disappointed with the rooms and facilities. Far too expensive

Our warm welcome was anything but, we were greeted with the kettle doesn't turn off, short showers as the hot water may run out for 2 people and there is NO KEY to lock up when you go out for the day! As we were offered a room located near the pool, our Breakfast was supply only for us to cook, which we were happy to do. However, how disappointed we were to find in the morning, the packet of Bacon was opened and some taken out, then tied with a rubber band. Obviously we did not eat this!
The BBQ in the pool area, was difficult to get to, due to the junk and mess around it.  This entire area was overgrown and neglected, as were other areas on the property!
Our main concern , which was raised with the host, was that of our shower and the smelly water. He said it was tank water from the roof, and perhaps it needed a bag of chlorine thrown into it. What a joke!
The photos on the Web Site are obviously from a long time ago, as minimal to NO maintenance on the property has been done. They DO NOT reflect the current state of this place!
So overall, we were very disappointed and in looking at previous reviews, two of which also commented on the Key Issues and not being able to lock up, I wish I had used Trip Advisor prior to our booking.
I cant help but wonder whether the 5/5 reviews are from guests who genuinely stayed at this place!

Beyond Disappointing

We didn't end up staying as we had not paid for it, we found there was an agressive dog on the property , the place was so run down, there was a half sunken house boat in the lake and an old mattress floating, to tell you the truth we wouldn't let our dog stay there.

property was not maintained at all and I would guess for years!!

Stayed for 2 nights by the water. The pond was glorious with turtles and ducks swimming about. A kookaburra woke me at 6am. Breakfast was superb and the hosts delightful. Really enjoyed my stay thoroughly.

Enjoyable peaceful stay

My wife, dog and I spent 3 fabulous night here in the company of Mary and Michael.  Such a delight.Hospitality 2nd to none. More the comfortable accommodations. Breakfast outstanding.
Already planned a return.
