The beautiful timber floor of the room really gives it some style! We stayed 3 nights and hosts Jenny and Julian were friendly and helpful. Seeing the birds every evening was great and it was a great base to explore the local attractions like The Cidery. The room was clean and tidy, including the bathroom which was well designed. Microwave, coffee plunger in room (byo ground coffee), and daily bread, milk, cereal and juice provided. 2 good small supermarkets in Bridgetown nearby for supplies. 

Get a dose of serenity!

We only stayed overnight and wished we had stayed longer. We definitely  will next time. Tweed Valley Lodge was so peaceful and beautiful. The unit was clean and spacious and included a continental  breakfast in the price. The bed was very comfortable too. Highly recommend Tweed Valley Lodge.

Peaceful

Arrived to find instructions where to find key. Our room was spacious, very clean and we immediately felt relaxed. 
Kettle, toaster, microwave and usual tea coffee milk supplied. 
Continental breakfast set up. Cereal fruit orange juice and bread to toast. 
Outdoor seating and table provided to enjoy a drink and watch the bird life. 
Block out curtains helped us enjoy a sleep in.  
Booked two nights and could easily have stayed longer. 
Affordable … even better.

Peaceful, clean and comfortable

While reports had shown that this property was a bit hard to find, we arrived and found it easily.  There were notes waiting for us on Reception door indicating our unit and where to find the key.  When we entered the room, it was bright and open stretching from a small entry with bathroom beside it, then into the kitchen and a large bedroom with table and two chairs, plus two sitting chairs and a small tv. On the wall.  Immediately outside was an enclosed space with another table and three easy chairs to sit outside in the fresh air.  It is early spring and as we drank our cup of tea, the birds were visiting the deck to eat seed which had been laid out for them.
The deck is a large area with more tables and stools to sit at while enjoying the barbecue also there for guests use.  Several guests came out to enjoy a wine in the lovely fresh air.  The area is quiet except for bird noises and general low hum of what little traffic was nearby.  From the deck you can see down into the gardens and into the small river below.  Our unit led directly onto the deck but there were several others with their own balconies and bird feeders.  I suspect they were the slightly smaller units as we had sourced a king size bed.  These units had under cover parking, however our parking was in the general carpark, this choice probably affected by the lodge’s units following the rivers process.
A continental breakfast was provided in the kitchen which you could prepare yourself.  There was fruit juice, cereal, bread & butter and a supply of condiments.  The normal tea and coffee were also here.  A toaster, kettle and small frypan were also available for use.

Very peaceful and we can highly recommend coming here for a quiet and well provided holiday.

All ready when we arrived, located Room key without any problem. Room bright and airy and abundant space for our overnight stay. Very clean throughout, great selection of coffee and teas available. Happy with supplies for our inclusive continental breakfast. Blackout curtains worked 100%. Comfortable bed, so comfortable that we didn't awaken until after 8.00am, which is very unusual for both of us. Great location a short distance from town, quiet area with only birdsong to interrupt in the evenings. Great views over the river valley and enjoyed the birdlife in the feeders. I would have awarded 5* if WIFI available.

Quiet Country Location

Only spent one night here as a quick weekend getaway from Perth. Our host, Barbara was lovely, the room was large, immaculately clean, with basic kitchen facilities (microwave, kettle toaster, sink), with a verandah  with a beautiful view over the gardens to the river. We had spectacular weather, so sitting outside watching the birds come in to feed, enjoying some nibblies and a wine on the verandah and soaking up the peacefulness of the area was bliss. Don't expect to walk along the river from here, or even walk back into town. It's only 2km, but there is no footpath and I wouldn't recommend walking on the road. Really easy to drive back to town or the River Park and walk from there. Driveway was a little difficult to pick when we first arrived; look for the Tweed Cottage sign and the Lodge has the same crossover, but dips down to the right. All in all, we loved our stay and would come again anytime.

Wish we'd stayed longer

Stayed 2 nights at Tweed Valley lodge.The rooms are not modern but clean and comfortable.We had heating in the room that kept us warm and cosy.Lovely views outside on the deck to the gardens and river and the bird feeding brings in the most beautiful parrots.
Great place for a quite getaway,Eating venues in the town and cidery are very expensive-BBQ facility's and cooking can be done at the lodge.

Cosy

Tweed valley lodge is a adult retreat. Nice & peaceful surrounded by bush & a river to overlook. Bird feeding daily. Close to town. Clean spacious rooms. With basic kitchen needs. Continental breakfast daily.

Relaxing

We stayed here for two weeks, and were very happy with the  tranquil location and clean comfortable accommodation.  Barbara was the perfect Host: caring,  friendly, and efficient. Our very pleasant and well appointed room overlooked a spectacular garden, leading down to the Tweed River below.   The garden can be enjoyed from your own patio directly outside your room, or various locations leading down to the river. There is an abundance of birds, especially at feeding time in the afternoon.  

We enjoyed several walks into Bridgetown, which has some interesting shops, great coffee and food outlets.

Perfect place for rest and relaxation

Stayed at Tweed Valley Lodge 21st until til 26th June. Room had king bed, small table with 2 chairs, windows and double door opens onto balcony, then barbecue area overlooking stunning Blackwood River. The room has essentials as in microwave oven,  electric fry pan, heating and cooling system etc. Everything we needed. Will be back as have grandchildren in Bridgetown.
