Stayed in Salta and this hostel for about 3/4 nights booked on hostel world. It was 250 pesos a night so not unreasonable for such a great location. We never made it up for breakfast but there was a small kitchen upstairs. There are plenty of bathrooms. We had a room for 6 to ourselves however only problem was the WiFi was iffy in our room but we spent such little time in anyway. Lockers in room were old but worked, beds were comfy and plenty of plugs. Very close to the centre as well as the bus station and funicular. Staff were nice

The location is actually good and very close to the actions, the shower was nice but it is about it.
The room was as average as it can be but clean enough. The heater worked, thanks god because it was unusually cold during our stay. The breakfast was just two pastries and the kitchen probably the worst I have seen in any hostel I have stayed.
Good enough to sleep in, that is it! Would compare prices and stay elsewhere.

I don't even know where to start ! 

1st : we saw and believed the little icon saying they have a parking, because we did not read in detail and did not noticed it was specified it is a private parking 3 blocks away that charges around 10€ a day. Not overly priced, and for the one who do not come by car, not relevant, but seriously, why put an parking icon if you actually do not have a parking ! Obvious there is private parking in town ! 

2nd : The staff is barely saying hello, or smiling, or even talking to you. The atmosphere is really poor, no place to meet people, no place to relax, nothing. The room are in a corridor that looks like a hospital and does not make you wanna stay at all. 

3rd : We arrived in a first room disgusting, not clean, not welcoming, super noisy, with ants all over the bathroom. First we did not say a thing, too tired to argue. We thought it was only the bathroom, (they also say they provide bathroom product on the booking page, but nothing !). Well, I lied in my bed to read, 10 minutes after I see ants all over my bed. They did change our room, LUCKILY ! And the 2nd one was less bad.

BUT SERIOUSLY, for the price you are paying you do not expect such a bad atmosphere, with staff member bored of their job, and insects in your room and bed. 

TO AVOID ESPECIALLY (much better spots in salta for a lower price !)

Seriously a joke !

It's conveniently located near the bus stop - walkable distance. Staff were friendly. However, the rooms are so-so depending on which room you get. For the first night, we got a room on the ground floor right next to the road. It was very noisy up till 2-3am in the morning from vehicles and passers-by. It was a room with a queen bed and a double bunk. The cleaners must have missed the rubbish on the top of the bunk. We went away for two nights in Cafayate and then back to stay in Salamanca for one more night as booked in advance. The second night was a lot better because we got a first floor room which was a lot quieter, more private and cleaner and obviously has been renovated. We had a good modern air-con on the second night but a dodgy heater on the first night. On the plus side, at least the hot shower is working, and at least the room comes with breakfast. 

Okay for short stay

We stayed here for two nights, what we remember the most was that the A/C wasn't adjustable in the room (just on-off) and it was very cold!without air con it would be too hot,with A/C it quickly became too cold!

Breakfast was regular (bread+factura) for each room+hot drink.

The kitchen was in the top floor and really tiny!As well as hot.

The room was spacious,clean and had been renewned as well as the bathroom. Like others users say,really close to the Bus terminal and close enough (10min walk) to the main Plaza.
