A great place to stay,polite staff, good food and a good centre for fishing, wing shooting or riding.  The wildlife out in the wet lands is phenomenal from Alligators to Capybara, a wonderful experience would defiantly return.   

I would like to thank our host Arnoldo Rohner and fishing guide Martin Peredo.  The experience was outstanding.  
    To start, the Lodge was very comfortable with two pools, lounge and a restaurant that had a large menu.  The service and food were exceptional.  
     Our fishing guide Martin spoke great English, kept us entertained and on fish.  The boat always had plenty of drinks and food.  He also surprised us with an unexpected shore lunch where he cooked for us while we rested in hammocks.
     You will not be disappointed with these outfitters.  It was quality and a trip of a lifetime for me.

The rooms are clean and tidy and serviced very well.  Early calls are no problem. The food is very good and rustic with excellent wine. Overall a great place to base yourself for this type of South American fishing experience.

Remimiscent of the hacienda era of Argentina's cattle heritage Posada Hambare is comprised of a cluster of classic rancho styled buildings that have been renovated or recently constructed.  Located approximately 3 kilometers from the town of Esquina the property fronts the Corrente River in a tranquil setting.  If you are looking for the utimate get away spot to just kick back and read a book or lounge by the pool this is the place.  The absence of the sounds of civilization is deafening.

The Lodge's forte, of course, is fishing for dorado, "The tiger of the River" and not to be confused with Mahi-Mahi; plus other river species.  Also available are a number of alternate activities such as hunting, horseback riding and the like.  Fishing along the river's shoreline or from small boats or canoes seems to the the national past time for the local residents.

The base lodging rate of U$ 170 has got to be one of the best deals going.  This included a room in the Hambare Lodge, continental breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and beverages.  There are additional charges for the different venues and packages.

For the visitor there are 2 ways to get there.  First, from Buenos Aires you can go by hired car which is expensive ($500 USD) and takes around 6 hours.  Second, is to fly using a local commuter air service, however, they only have flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.  A one fare is around U$ 140 and take approximately 2 hours due to stops.  Flying is the best way to go so you need to plan your itinerary to coincide with the flight schedule.

The staff has limited english language skills, so, a better than average working knowledge of Spanish is recommented.
