Casa Marina Resort

Absolutely loved our few days here. Off season so it was quiet and at times the staff outnumbered us 3 to 1. They were unfailingly friendly, and everyone customer-facing spoke at least basic tourist English which I didn't expect but which was welcome - despite our best efforts for months, our Vietnamese is pitiful! A few staff spoke very good English, too. Super clean facilities that are so much nicer than photos indicate. We stayed in one of the bungalows which was spacious. Comfy beds as well as porch furniture, which made it easy to spend ages staring at the waves. Good AC and showers (water didn't get too hot tho). The water and beach were both clean and pleasantly sandy - baffled by the comments saying the beach is rocky underfoot. Surf was a little too strong for us to want to swim (did in the pool, which was clean though a bit odd without consistent depth). The tide and wind kept bringing in some plastic trash, which we gathered on beach walks because why not? Apparently the bar at the other end of the beach will give you free beer in exchange for collected beach rubbish if that motivates you.Food was EXCELLENT. For sure geared to Vietnamese taste but they did have western options if you got tired of the crazy fresh seafood and perfect noodles :) no breakfast buffet while we were there as not enough guests, but plenty of options cooked to order.Genuinely considered changing the rest of our travel plans just so we could stay here longer. Highly recommended!
