***BEWARE*** If I could give this hotel 0 star rating, I would. We booked for three nights through booking.com. When we arrived, there was a fish tank full of mouldy water in the reception, which should have been a sign. The receptionist, took one of our passports and left it in an unlocked drawer as insurance, which we felt uneasy about. He then showed us to our room, on the way, the hotel looked like a building site, with doors and wires hanging everywhere. Once in the 'apartment', which he actually told us we had been upgraded to, there was mould and damp up each wall and all over the ceiling. The paint was peeling off the walls due to the damp. The tv stand was collapsed at one side due to the rotten wood. We stayed one night due to us arriving in the area late at night. In the morning, we discovered bugs and insects all over the bed and the walls. We decided we didn't want to stay the remaining two nights and tried to check out, offering the money for the first night. The receptionist told us this wasn't acceptable and we had to pay the full price and take the issue up with booking.com. We went on to show him him the room and he agreed it was unacceptable, but only after telling us we should have informed the cleaner first. After some argument, he did agree to take the one nights payment and returned the passport. Please stay clear of this hotel. It should not be allowed on any hotel sites.

Do not stay here!!

Booked via agoda, to be pay by cash to the hotel, they didn't even have my details and asked which room/ how much $$ I booked..As I was not familiar with the place and asked if there is any place to eat, the staff talks among themselves and laughed. I saw there's a menu pasted on the wall, and asked to order food, which she replied no. Staff doesn't speak English, communication by google translate. Upon check in at 1pm, the staff told me the room have no electricity to my utmost horror, after 2 minutes of shock and repetitive baffled to ask for a change in room, she said 5pm only have electricity. What a special experience !! My room was a 6 bed USD5 room with great view, and I was alone, means no one else booked for the night lol... Maybe other more expensive room doesn't get this treatment, I don't know...

Unhelpful staff

Me and my friends stayed here just for a night. The owner is so lovely and friendly. The location is good. It’s not far from Bo Ke where is the seafood restaurant area, 3-4 mins by walking. However, you need to walk up to the hill a bit but it’s not a big problem. The room was clean,simple and reasonable price, 10$/night. Shower room is clean but it’s a bit small. The shower pressure in my room was so weak and not hot enough for us but it was fine for very humid weather. VAN THANH Hotel is a good choice for who have a budget trip.  

Nice stay 

Visited here for one night in August 2017. Upon arrival the staff lacked basic customer service. Rooms were of a good size but were unclean. 

When we notified staff of ants in our bed, we were told to come back in 10mins. Then we were told we could change room but at no point was an apology issued.

The staff were very rude in general which is a shame as the hotel has potential to be a success. 

Good rooms but unclean and rude staff

The hotel was in a good location and our room looked nice with a good balcony however when we walked in it seemed that the window leaked or something as there was a large puddle of water on the floor and on closer inspection the room on the whole was not as clean as i would have expected. We did enjoy our stay here and it was reasonably priced. 

Nice hotel 

This hotel is very clean, bright and cheap! Nice toilets, big (but short) bed, refridgerator, good AC and nice staff. I would defintely come back here if I go backpacking in Mui Ne again. You get what you pay for and more. Must try!

Clean, bright and big rooms!

We stayed here in early January to see mui ne. The room acceptable with a small private balcony and bathroom. We had a bike on a first day there and had a fun time riding along the strip. The bed was all right with power points on either side which was very handy however the blanket was very small and hard to share between two people. The people at reception were very helpful and there is a rooftop bar which is currently unfinished that looks really great at night with a lovely view of the strip. There is a lot of room for improvement such as refreshing the toilet paper when you run out, cleaning the common area from junk and even just letting you know about the facilities on hand such as the kitchen and laundry. Overall this hotel will do in a pinch but we would recommend giving it a few more years to get things right before you stay.
