Stayed in Tay Backpackers during my visit to Dalat and stayed in a 4 bed dorm. The sheets had stains on them, the roof was caved in a little, the shower was a shower head on a wall beside the sink in a tiny bathroom and the beds were like sleeping on bricks. We outlined our concerns to the owner in which we were moved to a room with two double beds which was better. We said we would stay there for the 2 nights. But after the first night they had told us we would need to pay alot of extra money to stay in our current room. They said they had cleaned our other bedroom for us to check and still find stains on the bed sheets and pillow! We refused to stay in a dirty bed and they refused to let us stay in the current room, leaving us with nowhere to stay for the night. They had no alternative, no apology, nothing! We left and found another hotel for the night and glad we did!

Very poor hostel - Stains on bed and unhelpful staff

I was the only foreign with one local girl. Room was humid. There was no lock to the bathroom. No breakfast was given or mentioned. They smoke a lot in first floor lobby that my hall way on third floor smelled like cigars. I guess the receptionist was decently nice but he just didn't care. I stayed one night here and moved to other hostel and it was a good decision. 

No free breakfast/humid room

Stayed in a private room with my girlfriend. Great room very clean and cosy! Staff is incredibly nice and speak fluent english! Breakfast is very nice. Only downside is the wi fi. It is slow and sometimes doesn't work

Great hostel!

Spending 2 nights here with my buddy for our hiking trip, we do love Tay Backpackers because of their convenience location (few minutes away from the Night Market) and the helpful staffs. Breakfast was alright comparing to other hostel but the cute little white Samoyed simply stole the show :). My friend spent like 20 minutes everyday to play with her.

Good hostel for short stay in Dalat

Verry clean and nice place.
I supposed to stay their 2 nights bus i stayed 7 days!!! The stuff are amazing realy nice and happy to help and to take you to a drink at night😀 the hostel is also a nice bar and nice local guys coming to seet there so its good opportunity to get know the locals

Perfect employees

Everyone who works at this hostel is absolutely great. Brought us all around the city at night and showed us so many great places and stayed out with us too. 

Food is great too and a very clean hostel. We were originally staying at another place (a great hostel too!) but left to stay here due to the friendliness of the staff. 

Best staff in Vietnam 

I was supposed to stay in Tay hostel for just 2 nights but I felt so good there and so welcomed that I decided to book two more nights. The staff is very friendly, they are always interacting with the guests, and they also played games with me and my friends in the evenings. 
 The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower was good too. 

Another good point was the food. They dont have a restaurant itself there but if you tell them a few hours earlier they can cook a dinner for you. Try the spring rolls! The best I have ever tried.

Perfect food and cocktails

Tay and his friends/staff are beyond nice. Spent 2 or 3 nights at this place which were one of my favs on the Vietnam part of the trip. It's a creative place where people connect easily and have a great time. Ran into a few people over there I'm still in touch with - a place which can do that says a lot. Was inspired to leave a note in one of the books hanging at the stairs and still wear the hostel's greatly designed rubber wristband when it suits my look. This may sound weird to some, but Tay clearly shows that even at a young age [he's 25 - I'm 22], you can build something creative of your own and share that with others. Cheers Tay&the rest of the fam, and thanks for translating those postcards to Vietnamese ;)

Great staff in a great tiny and cosy hostel

Coolest hostel we stayed in in Vietnam, great staff, great cocktails, great atmosphere. Although we didn't eat there, the menu looked very promising. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. If I ever come back to Da Lat I know where I'm staying.
