Highly recommend any tourist to stay at this hostel whilst in Dalat - great location, large and tidy rooms, and really friendly family who own the place. They also had a little dog called Ken who was adorable! We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and when we arrived we wanted to do the canyoning tour for the next day - which the owner organised straight away for us at a discounted price. However, for us the hospitality of the place was definitely shown on the second day we were there. During the canyoning tour I thought I had broken my big toe, in which we asked the family where a medical centre or pharmacy was so we could find out whether it was broken. They instantly booked us a taxi to go to the hospital - and came along with us so he could communicate to the hospital staff and get us seen a lot quicker. We found this so helpful as he sorted everything out for us - and it shows what great people they are to help two strangers. Thank you Sunny Dalat - we will definitely stay here again if we return!

Best accomodation in Dalat

This Homestay has perfect premises and is run by a very friendly and friendly family. They took very good care of us, including recommendations for food and booking a bus.

The room was very good: very clean, very good bath room, TV with English channels, comfortable and big bed (real sheets!).

The Homestay is located near restaurants, cafes, shops. But not on the "tourist ghetto" - what is a good thing for us. But of you feel like getting a drink with other tourists after all - it's in walking distance.

Absolutely recommended. 

Very good Homestay, amazing Value for your money

I had 1 night here, book room 4 people, 4 dorm beds. First of all, the rooms are clean and neat. Especially the toilet is very clean. The host was very cheerful and enthusiastic. Compared to other places, this hostel is cheap and comfortable. A 5 star rating for this guest house is perfectly worth it. I will come back in the next times.

A good place to stay

We spent two nights in Sunny Hostel whilst travelling Vietnam and the theme of our stay was how friendly and helpful the hosting family were. A lovely couple who speak very good English, with very polite well-mannered children and an energetic small dog, own this hostel and stop at nothing to maximise the stay of their guests. They were able to make well-informed recommendations on where to eat in Dalat, booked us onto the most popular canyoning tour at a cut price and provided detergent to wash our shoes with afterwards, free of charge - even drying them out for us too. 

Out of the 8 hostels we stayed in throughout Vietnam, this was undoubtedly the one where we felt most welcome. The breakfast choice was extensive and cooked for us at a time of our choosing, it even included complimentary coffee and fruit. Situated on a quite side-street off from a more bustling main road that was close to the city centre, the location was very much to our liking.

The rooms were extremely clean and tidy with a TV offering numerous English-language channels (if you view that as an essential). The only negative of our stay was in this area, as the mattresses were extremely hard and made sleeping at times difficult. If this problem was rectified this truly would be the ultimate place to stay. Nonetheless would still strongly recommend to anyone visiting Dalat

Extremely helpful owners but hard beds

What was best about this place was that Dat himself came in search of customers as he had newly opened his hostel. He was so friendly and continuously went above and beyond to be accomodating and helpful. Although its a little out of the way of the bus station, it is quite central to all the best places to see in Da Lat. I will be returning. 

Cruise through

Stayed for 3 nights in April. Staff is so so so friendly. They were willing to help out with anything and even went to the bakery in the morning to get us fresh baked bread. The place is super clean and the shower is amazing. Only downside is the bed is super hard (personal preference for it to be more soft) but when I mentioned it to the guy downstairs he brought up an extra duvet to sleep on which did the trick. Really enjoyed our stay, thank you!! :)
