Very good
77 reviewsI arrived here much later than anticipated 25FEB2020 due to a snafu in Buenos AiresARGENTINA, and had the pleasure of meeting night manager THIAGO. My lateness meant getting whatever was available (as long as it was a bottom bunk—my “ageing out” precludes much climbing of bunk ladders!), and he escorted me/hauled my rucksack up to the second floor to an overflow area that reminded me of a Charles Dickens novel! Two nights here??!! Anyway, my poor attitude changed the next day when I rented one of their bicycles (and after a decent night of rest plus the good brekkie!) and cycled much if the waterfront along Mahatma Ghandi drive. It was great! Until the front tyre flatted. Fortunately, master mechanic SEBASTIAN at the TREK PUNTA CARRETAS bicycle store (Solano Garcia 2569, [email protected], 598.27140100) effectively/professionally replaced the tube/oiled the chain for me whilst I ate lunch. Returning the bike to Compay should have been easy. Instead of backtracking, I decided to follow google maps to TUBELUX, where I bought a replacement charger for my 8+. Now that I was on the side of the peninsula where Compay was located, no troubles, eh? Somehow, I switched over to Tom-Tom as my map guide, and I was doomed to excessive pedaling, the likes of which my legs have not seen for a long time. My concern was running this 8+ to absolute “0” charge. Fortunately, the outstanding El Arabito restaurant (Bulevar General Artigas 2246, TE:092537651) not only has excellent nutritious food, they also had an outlet available where I could recharge this phone. Unable to shift out of Tom-Tom, thus “Digital Dinosaur” finally had to look at a different message which gave a different address. Several hours late, I finally arrived back at COMPAY, where Thiago assisted me in re-locating to an excellent ground floor bottom bunk. It was fantastic!!!!
