Great location just a block from the boardwalk traffic and noise. Not your typical bnb experience, as much is self serve without much interaction with the staff. Ok breakfasts— nice eating area inside or front porch. Cleanliness is a 3— carpets dirty in certain areas, paint chipped on edges/corners, hair on bathroom floor. 

Nice location

Read good reviews saying it was clean and cozy place so we booked it. This place was anything but clean and cozy. Dirty room, stained carpeting everywhere, musty and moldy smell throughout the entire place. Thick covering of dust and mildew and mold in ac unit for our room. Beat up looking door that you had to shove to open and it would always slam shut. Room was stated to have a private hall, but it did not. Bathroom was mildewy with no hot or even lukewarm water for the shower. Had to take a freezing shower. Bath towels were stained, very thin and very small. No hand towel was provided. Outlet in room didn’t work either. Sink in bathroom didn’t properly drain and would stay clogged. No one around to help us with our concerns. Breakfast a disappoint with fruit in a bowl that was brown and sat out all day. Ash trays outside never cleaned out and stayed full all day. Cleanliness for the place was nonexistent. We are not fussy people, but cleanliness is a must. Mildewy odor throughout entire building was pungent. Be careful reading other reviews. Place is very dirty and not up to shape at all. Very dissatisfied.

We had a terrific stay! Super friendly and hospitable owners. The room was all we needed; even had a mini fridge with a freezer. Breakfasts were delicious. Front porch a nice place to sit and enjoy the view or visit with other guests. Centrally located so we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. 

Great Place to Stay

The Bed and Breakfast has a Shabby Chic décor.  Staff were very friendly from check in to check out, clean place and convenient location to the beach. I gave them Extra points for finding the Ipad that was left behind.

Business Trip

We needed a place to crash for one night.  We arrived late, the management had left our keys for us which was nice and convenient.  The home is clean and nicely decorated and the bed in Room #3 was very comfy.  Our room was also clean other than the area surrounding the window AC.   We are a couple that enjoys the BNB experience and have stayed in many.  Our expectations may have been too high and the Atlantic fell short in some areas.  I believe the Atlantic's positive reviews are resting on the laurels of the previous ownership.  It appears the current ownership does not make much of an  effort to provide a typical BNB experience.  Nobody had thought to make the room comfortable for us upon arrival so it was very hot in the room but we turned on the teeny tiny window AC and the room cooled off.  The bathroom in Rm 3 has a tiny shower and the tile grout is badly stained in places which makes it appear dirty.  The shower floor is peeling and at the very least there should be a mat put down.  No individual toiletries were provided, instead dispensers of low quality shampoo and shower gel were on the wall in the shower.  As other reviewers have said, the towels were tiny and the washcloths were mismatched.  A towel rack in the bathroom immediately fell off the door.  There were no snacks or beverages offered that are the norm with other BNBs.   The website boasts of make your own waffles and breakfast casseroles and there were none.  We were offered waffles, bacon and eggs  and the eggs were not cooked to order.  I ordered over hard and they had runny whites and yolks.  The waffles were tiny and tasteless.  Although no real fault of the owner, there were flies in the breakfast area landing on the food that was not covered which demonstrated a lack of care.  The best thing about the Atlantic was it only cost us $95 for the night.  If you are looking for a cheap place to lay your head, you'll be pleased.  If you are expecting a typical BNB experience, with the thoughtful touches expected at a BNB, you will be greatly disappointed.   The Atlantic ownership should consider revising their website to more accurately depict the experience.  The Atlantic is a Bed and Breakfast on a technicality.

Great Option With the Correct Expectations

Directly across from the beach and boardwalk, excellent rooms, and awesome breakfast made fresh!!
Will definitely be coming back!  Checking in and checking out was very simple, hassles whatsoever.

Awesome place to stay!

While Atlantic House was close to the boardwalk with a nice  bed , it stops there. Maybe 10 channels on the TV
No ice or soda machine , breakfast did not have breakfast casserole as advertised no fresh cut fruit
You couldn't make your own waffles as stated( first day full of strawberry jam in the middle and about 2 inches round
No bacon and 2nd morning the sausage looked like keilbasa.bananas were brown
Showers were horrendous . There's no way I would've out my bare feet in the stall 
Air conditioner had black mold on the inside
Oh, and the bath towels were more like hand towels.
I was truly disappointed
When I complained she seemed unbothered by it all stating well , it's just me here.
That's no excuse and to top thing off I had to plunge the frikkin toilet at 3 am
Don't waste your time here

Fun weekend stay here. Booked directly through their website. Great rates Maria the manager is very friendly and accommodating. Parking is at the Comfort Inn lot behind the B&B. Room 6 was nice and was clearly recently renovated Although the bathroom was across the hall it wasn’t a big deal. Love that it had its own air conditioning unit which I believe all the rooms do. Didn’t make it to breakfast as I’m a late sleeper although I did smell it every morning and it smelt great. 

Weekend Stay

We were looking for a place to stay on the day of arrival, praying to find somewhere. Every hotel was a minimum of almost $300 a night, but we got lucky and saw one room at this bed and breakfast become available. I called and spoke with the owner Maria (who is an AMAZING cook) and booked the room. She made sure to have a parking pass and key waiting for me in a safe location when we arrived. Answered her phone late at night to help me find the WiFi login. She was friendly and a great highlight of the trip. 
I loved reading outside on one of the porch swings. 
We never heard any noise through the walls. The bathroom soaps and shampoo smelled great!
Breakfast was home cooked, plentiful, and everyone in the house was friendly, engaging us in conversation. 
We were less than two minutes walk from the beachfront and boardwalk, which was phenomenal. 
Maria provided giant beach towels for us to use, as well as having an outdoor shower to wash off the sand afterwards. 
I can honestly say I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else on future trips to Ocean City! Perfect review! 
Plus she doesn’t rush on day of checkout, letting you take your time packing and making sure you’re rested for your return trip home.

First time exploring Ocean City!

During this time with Covid going on. We wanted to stay some place that had less traffic rather than a busy hotel where we would have to get on an elevator with 10 other ppl.  Atlantic house was perfect. This is our second time staying here. The owner is very accommodating.  The room has a beautiful charm to it and is very clean. We also ordered carryout for dinner, and just ate our dinner in their eating area which was nice and clean. The restaurant forgot to include utensils but Atlantic House had utensils there for us. The breakfast is home made and very tasty. Usually has a plate of fruit or snacks in the afternoon too. I love this place and will come back when we visit Ocean City.
