Lights where out, switches didn't work.  Said free parking on web but changed $10.00 a day to park.  Unknown service fee of $45.00 for 3 days. When asked about it I was told that was for anything I may need. Lol. Low room starting fee, but then they add it on at the end.

Not worth it.

My brother and I reserved (separate reservations, separate credit cards) one night back in November for June 10th. It is the air show and this was a Christmas gift for our boys. I wrapped pictures of the hotel and the confirmation e-mail as a gift.
On Feb 7th I received an e-mail that my reservation was canceled. I called the number on the e-mail and I was told my credit card didn't go through. I asked to please re-book but now their system wouldn't allow them to do just one night. The system wanted two nights. There was no way the girl could override it. I asked to speak to a manager and there were none available and the hotel doesn't open until April. I asked her to look at my brother's reservation and that too was canceled for the same reason. There is no way both our credit cards had issues. Plus I have been using the same credit card for years. Never issues. I believe their computer system had issues and canceled it because we didn't have two nights even though back in November it let us book just one night with no issues. The girl who answered my call took my name and number and I e-mailed the hotel with no return call. I feel they need to honor our one night reservation since this was approved and I received a confirmation e-mail  back in November. I may have two very disappointed little boys.

This place is a dump, it really sucks, shabby in-room construction,  mattress on plywood, no instructions for TV operation, 1 washcloth and 2 towels, no hand towels, no hangers or hooks. Pool is  dirty, shower nozzle and speaking broken. Way over priced. Basicly 80% empty and stuck us on the third floor. And the demand of a $100.00 cash deposit that is not advertised on any booking sites is a bit shady. No door looks on  room door other than main lock.  4 chairs in the room, no table.
7 bars of soap shoved in a plastic cup, toilet paper holder broken. Limited electrical out let's. Had to move microwave so it could be plugged in. No pen or paper. It is definitely a negative star accommodation !!! Don't

This hotel was so outdated and dirty! The tub was rust stained and the sink was just disgusting. We had a huge crack in our window that was very unsafe. The bed sits high off the ground not sure how older people or folks with knee or leg problems could even get in the bed. Housekeeping never came to get the trash we had to search for them to get clean towels daily and never offered any hand towels. The best thing about the hotel is the pool it was clean.  Will never stay there again!

You get what you pay for!

They have a mildew smell in the rooms, and mold on the bottom walls. Floors were not cleaned. Their was a leak in the room in the bathroom. Ants everywhere spider webs all over walls. Bed sheets and blankets were filthy and had dead flies. It smells like crap outside with garbage. Has no wifi. The night guy JEFF WAS A BIG HELP TO CLEAN THE SPIDERWEBS AND GIVE ALL NEW BED CHANGING. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS OF FAMILY HERE. How ever HEATHER BLONDE HAIR FRONT DESK LADY is no help just a woman out to make money on a dirty motel.

TERRIBLE DO NOT STAY!

This place is really horrible! PLEASE do NOT book your stay here! I booked my stay on bookings.com for 3 nights. When i got to the room......the smoke detector kept beeping (like it was a low battery), the bed was not completely made, the shower was filthy, the water kept dripping AND there were BUGS. Not sure what kind of bugs, but i know i got bite a few times (in the hour i was in the room!!). I went to the desk and told the guy about all my issues and he offered to give me bug spray!! Thats it! How disgusting and unprofessional is that?? I collected my stuff, cancelled my reservation and went in search of another hotel. I was also told that I would not get ANY refund. My entire 3 night stay was billed to my credit card!! I understand if they bill for 1 night......but all 3 nights....when i only stayed an hour?? Thats awful and unacceptable!! My dad called the hotel and spoke to a manager the next day. They said they would call me within 24 hours. Its been 5 days and no one has reached out to me yet. Thats why i chose to do this review. For EVERYONE to know how dirty, filthy, disgusting, awful this place is with the staff and manager not having a care in the world about there customers!
PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. Trust me!!

Do NOT stay in this FILTHY HOLE!!!

Room didn’t look at all like it was cleaned before we came in, sheets had simple stains and dirt particles  all over.    We brought our own bedding which helped.  But quickly learned that there were roaches in the room and an ant infestation.   Found one roach crawling on the wall over my pillow.   Found 3 more within a day.  There were cobwebs hanging off the walls, and stains on the walls that could be easily wiped off.   Bathtub wouldn’t drain, toilet was difficult to fully flush.    

I would highly suggest not staying there.   $600 for 2 uncomfortable, bug infested nights.   They could easily use the money they gained for just my weekend stay to pay someone to dust the cobwebs and wipe the walls.

Would not recommend even just for place to sleep

Wednesday and Thursday were OK. Then we found spiders in the bed. Slugs crawling on the walls. Silverfish running up the walls. We wouldn’t use the bathroom shower. So we washed up really really well for a couple days. Be warned there was nobody here overnight. Friday Saturday night it was pure romper room. The worst place we’ve ever stayed. I’m not against weed.
But be prepared because it will blow in your room. You’ll find broken alcohol bottles in the walkway. Cigarette butts and beer cans throughout the property. And when the kids keep you up at three and 4 o’clock in the morning. Fighting cursing drinking throwing each other over the gate in the pool. Do not expect to get any sleep. The owner does not care.

Now mind you there no phones in the rooms. Nobody on the property because they can’t get anybody to work. When you call the owner or call the number it goes to the owner. He doesn’t answer or respond. This place is pure trash. Never saw anything of room service. Had to buy toilet paper.
So I suggested that the owner refund me the two nights that we didn’t sleep.
The daytime Clerk said he didn’t even acknowledge the issue. And that I should just do a complete charge back.
Folks this place is the bottom of the barrel. Looks nice.
 our door wouldn’t lock. You probably could’ve Jimmied our door open with a toothpick. The bed was definitely worn out. Holes in the curtain room 117.
140. Night Look around you can find better. Unless you like romper room. 5678 kids to a room Nobody there give a crap what was going on. I got to walk out my door at 3o’clock in the morning to a young girl naked bare end being pushed over the pool gate.

The Islander is budget friendly. Friendly staff. Location is Excellent! Neighbors to Phillip’s seafood restaurant, beach, board walk& amusement etc. Apt size refrigerator and microwave. Flatscreen television. Air conditioned. Pool maintenance is kept up & ambiance w palm trees are decent decor. Peaceful.

After booking a room due to their amazing rates compared to the other motels/hotels we decided to give them a shot. As you walk into the room you see the frame of the door damaged as if someone tried to ply it open. The room smells like pure Clorox. After settling in and looking around the light switches were literally hanging off the wall, we had ants infested through the room, the night stand, refrigerator, and bathroom. The bathroom walls were disgustingly dirty with visible spots of mold. We went into the registration office to see if we could be moved to another room to just find the same exact problems. This place is not family friendly. Keep your families safe!
