My husband and I had heard great things about the Darby Field Inn and  been planning to visit for some time, we only regret that we hadn't started coming here sooner! Everything was just perfect during our 3 nights here in May and this is where we will stay when we visit the area again!

Marc and Maria are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed talking to both of them, as well as the staff at the inn. Marc shared some great recommendations for short hikes and beautiful waterfalls, although hiking right in the area of the inn is also an option.

The food was absolutely delicious, which included breakfasts and two dinners. Marc's culinary skills are unsurpassed ... my husband and I agreed that the duck was the best we've ever had! And the mountain view from the dining room is beautiful.

Our room was very comfortable with a nice sitting area with a fireplace a great view of the mountains, and a two person jacuzzi.

It's worth mentioning that they also followed current guidelines related to covid. Most people when we stayed had been vaccinated but were mindful of masks and reasonable distancing in public areas.

We hope to visit again this year for a relaxing visit to this warm, wonderful Inn. Thank you Marc and Maria!

Amazing Stay at the Darby Field Inn!!

We arrived just in time for our dinner, our corner room was facing one of the Moat mountains and there was a lite breeze from the west. The room did not have a TV which I liked and we did watch an online movie with the complementary Wi-Fi which had no buffering issues. 

 The dinner was very good with the starter being the Shrimp wrapped in bacon served in a bourbon glaze. The Darby Salad was huge and amazing, both main courses had large serving and were cook prefect and tasted even better. for a shared desert we had the brownie sundae to finish an excellent dinner.

very pleasant and Quiet Stay

We stayed at the Darby Field Inn only for one night because we were passing through New Hampshire and exploring the scenery, which was the best place to stay!  The views were unbelievable, Mark and his lovely wife, I am sorry, her name escapes me, and their daughter were wonderful!  They made us a perfect breakfast, showed us the best places to go for the views and food.  We will definity return when we get a chance and stay longer.  

Awesome place to stay

Returning to the Darby Field Inn in itself says a lot about the experience.  We first visited a couple of years ago and enjoyed our stay very much.  We decided to take advantage of a special offered by the inn to return and we are so glad we did.  We had the inn to ourselves and it was truly like being in a huge, elegant and comfortable home.  Our room was very nice, with a king bed and a view of the mountains.  Innkeeper Marc was personable and accommodating.  Evenings were spent relaxing in the living room.  Breakfast was fabulous, cooked just the way we liked it. We are hoping to be able to return again at some time.

Return visit

Planned a return to the Darby Field Inn after 30 years to celebrate my wife's birthday. Much to our surprise the original owners were still running the Inn. They continue to serve their visitors with care and attention. The Inn is always in tip-top shape. We hope to return again!

Return visit after 30+ years

The Darby field Inn was a perfect spot to enjoy the winter sport of snowshoeing. I learned they had their own trails and I could walk right outside their door. With the help of the staff/ owner we got a marked map and enjoyed their private playground. Day 2 we ventured down the Kangamangus  highway and explored other trails. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Both the breakfasts were delicious with my favorite,  nice crisp bacon. Looking forward to going back. 

A couple of days visiting the White Mountains 

I loved my room (Mt Washington Suite).  It was extremely cozy with the gas fireplace.  The room was also very bright with large windows presenting a beautiful view of the mountains.  

The inn is close to route 16 but you would not know it.  It was so quiet!  You are in your own little world over there among the trees.  They have trails for snow shoeing (there are shoes you can borrow) and cross country skiing.

They provide a full country breakfast and it was delicious.  I especially fell in love with their maple pecan granola (which they make themselves).

The staff was extremely friendly and personable.  We had some fun conversations in their tavern.  The living room is very spacious with a gorgeous wood fireplace. 

I will definitely be going back!

Great place to relax

Had a wonderful stay. Beyond happy with our decision to stay at this beautiful inn. The location was great, near many trails and attractions. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from our room and from the dining room. It was incredible to wake up head to the dining area and have a fantastic breakfast with a beautiful view of the mountains. The staff was very attentive and kind. The room we stayed was the perfect size and very clean (room #5). We also had dinner at the inn. I chose duck and my husband chose lamb. Definitely recommend having dinner here. The meal was 5 stars, from the appetizer to the soup, main entrees, and dessert. Overall, we had a memorable time at the Darby Field Inn. Recommend staying here 100%. Thank you Marc and staff for everything. We will definitely be back.

Great location,beautiful views,fantastic food,clean,cozy,& great staff.

I want to thank Marc and the staff for the great accommodations. We had some select food restrictions that were handled with the most respect and customized just for us. Both breakfast and Dinner was great and thank you John for also making feel at home. (The picture attached was taken from our breakfast table in the morning)

Weekend Getaway

This is such a lovely inn with awesome mountain views. Could see Mt Washington from our room. Also felt very covid safe. Breakfast was soooooo good! Rooms quaint and quiet. And a very nice art gallery to boot! Thank you Mark and Sally!
