My room was OK.  The area around it was a dump with a load of people I didn't care being around.  The front desk was functional but not happy to be there.  The breakfast was a mess.  Take everyone's warnings and stay somewhere else.

Now a Rodeway

This place is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It now operates under the name Rodeway Inn It was booked as an express deal through Priceline as a 2 start hotel. I would not call it a 2 star hotel, maybe a half a star hotel. It looks like a dump on the outside. A prostitute tried to sell herself to one of my friends. Another one was offered drugs while getting ice. The room was moldy and falling apart. The bed was uncomfortable. The door barely locked and could have easily been kicked in.

Terrible- an absolute dump- avoid

First- this is the WORST place I have ever stayed- no exaggeration. It no longer operates under “Quality Inn,” it operates under “Rodeway Inn” but Choice Hotels still franchises it. It is horrible. The pool is gone- it is a giant pit in the ground. Duck tape around the air unit, holes I.  The wall and door, paper peeling, HORRENDOUS SMELL (cigarettes and pee- no joke). Paper stuffed in the peep hole as you could see inside. Just terrible. Keys wouldn’t work, so when I went back to get new ones the front desk door was locked and the girl was out running around in and out of rooms... doing lord knows what. That happened twice and she would appear in the parking lot out of a room...in the dark. 
Don’t ever stay here. Has definitely made me rethink “Choice Hotels.” Only booked this place as I had called all over Lexington and the guy at one of the other hotels I called said they operate with this one, that it is clean and just fine and had a room available. Never, ever, again. Run away. 

Run away as fast as you can. 

Don’t go there, no matter what the price.

The good:
Room was clean, beds comfortable.
Night clerk, Carrie, was very cordial.  Seemed to want to please.
Breakfast was adequate with some hot items, cereals, cold foods, coffee, juices.

The bad:
Way too many problems with this hotel.
The toilet seat was off.  Husband reattached it.
Wallparer in bathroom was tearing off the wall.
Stains on the ceiling of the tub/toilet room.
Wall heater was on when we arrived, but did not warm the room.  We were very cold and there were no extra blankets anywhere.  By the second night, room temperature was comfortable.
No ice machines anywhere on the premises.

The ugly:
The tub drained VERY slowly. At the end of a shower, we were standing in dirty water.  I request this be repaired.  Desk clerk seemed very uninterested, as if I were bothering her somehow.  Drain was never fixed during our stay.
Smoke alarm was missing.
Walked to the laundry room to wash a few clothes.  The door was locked.  Walked to the office to request a key.  The attendant walked over and unlocked the door.  Went to wash, but the washer was full of dirty water.  The room was filthy.  I reported this to the desk clerk.  She acknowledged the laundry was not functional, but gave me no hope of repairs.  Obviously not interested in maintenance or comfort of guests.

I can’t believe Choice Hotels would allow their name to be associated with this property.

Don't go there

If you’re able to get over the incredibly overwhelming - almost suffocating - musty smell, you might be ok. Or not - I slept with the lights on. Laying in bed, I reached under the pillow and felt a huge lump ... Pulling off  the pillowcase, I could see the pillow had a huge tear/hole - they had taken the ripped fabric and tied it in a knot in attempt to keep the stuffing from coming out, thus creating the large lump. There were a couple of cigarette burn holes in the sheets too — no joke! As friendly as the front desk staff  was, it would not be my choice to stay here again. Ever. Thanks to Expedia for the crappy booking.
