A little scary looking when I pulled up as they are doing extensive renovations on a building or two (including the office). However, the room was nice! Renovated, clean, large, and comfortable. They even made a towel elephant. The office staff were very nice and helpful also. The location was close to downtown and highways. Old school TV though :(

Surprisingly nice

Like another reviewer stated "don't let the building exterior keep you from staying here".  We chose the hotel due to the price and location.  We were not disappointed.  The room and property are older but let me remind people you are staying at any property for a bed and shower. I have been in hotel management for over 20 years and the room was simply appointed but very clean.  The husband and wife that run/own the motel were both extremely friendly and I felt very safe staying there with my wife.  I wish I had more time to explore the old town area that was a block away. I would definitely stay again.

Simple but very clean

You get what you pay for is a little to harsh, but the rooms are advertised for $38.00. Although, the room price was more than advertised. I didn't experience any critters. The room wasn't that great; i would give it about a c-. The people at the front desk was nice and helpful to me. The hotel appears to be located in a seedy part of town. It was rather noisy the first night and a little nerve wrenching.

Somewhat suprised by the other reviews

Don't be fooled by the pictures of the remodeled rooms on the website. Those are not the rooms you will get. The room they gave me was filthy. There were cracks and water stains on the ceiling and walls, the door didn't shut or seal properly. The room smelled musty and wreaked of cigarette smoke. The furniture was actually broken and not thrown out. The internet access was almost zero. I had read reviews of people complaining about the bath towels and thought they were just being picky, but no, they have literal hand towels as bath towels and they are so thin you can almost see through them.
The websites say free breakfast and a pool, that is not the case. No breakfast and the pool is drained and covered. I knew for the price I wasn't getting a nice room, but this place is hell.

The worst hotel I have stayed in during my trip

They over charge for anything, the lady at the front desk is a complete B ! T C H! I recommend you don't go for any reason whatsoever. The neighborhood is shady, the staff have no manners, rude beyond believe & charge you extra for anything, simply to make a quick buck! It's non-smoking but it smelled awful, the room had cigarette burns on the carpet and the bed sheets 😡 it was an unpleasant stay overall
