This was our third stay in a Copper Junction condo and our first in Unit 404. 

The Good:
Newer carpet
Well appointed kitchen
As close as you can get to slopes at Copper
Plenty of hot water
Copper Vacations great helpful staff

The bad:
Parking Is VERY tight in basement parking garage
One parking spot with rental—but garage was full and no spot available one day
Thin walls btw units
Ski locker room key pad inoperable—room unsecured—bring a padlock to secure your skis
Amenities listed are confusing. Reference to Washer/Dryer online. NOT in unit. Located in parking garage/basement. 
Refrigerator froze everything even after adjusting to lower temperature.
Bed pads thin but better than none. 
First floor half bath fan so loud it could wake the dead. 

Ugly:
For the second time the elevator broke and has been out of order during a Copper Junction rental. Both times we were in 4th floor units. The hike up the stairs after a day of skiing is HORRIBLE. Hauling all your luggage and equipment down four flights when leaving the unit is HORRIBLE. Other guests have had same experience. Chronic problem. Needs a permanent fix which, obviously, has not been undertaken. 

CONCLUSION:
Rent at your own risk. The elevator failures alone that we have experienced will cause us to never rent a Copper Junction condo unit again.

Good, Bad, Ugly

We stayed in Copper Junction #305 during July 2019.  We loved the unit and the village.  So much so, that we are hoping to go back in 2020 (covid19 permitting).  Although only a 1BR, #305 is easily large enough for 5 people.   Having 2 bathrooms really makes the difference.  Overall, it was a very comfortable unit with a great view of the lifts and the mountains.

We only had one slight problem with the building during our stay.  The elevator broke, but fortunately, after we brought up our luggage.  However, staff had it repaired first thing in the morning.

I've seen several reviews of Copper Mountain that complain about the following items - unfairly:

1.  No air condition - sure, in man parts of the US, this would be an issue.  But not at 9,000 feet elevation.  If it gets a bit stuffy around 4pm, just open a window and leave it open over night.  You will be quite cold when you wake up, but your condo will stay cool all day.

2.  The check in process - for us, this was clearly explained and the village map is accurate, though "upside down".  For some reason, although everyone will use Google or Bing Maps to preview their trip with North at the top  of the screen, Copper Mountain village maps have South at the top.  Once you realize this, just drive to the property management location and follow their instructions.  Works well.

3.  A few reviews of other buildings complained about interstate noise.  If you review your property selection on the village map, you can clearly identify where it is in the complex.  Pick the best option for your needs.

Do note that in the summer, the units are dirt cheap.  This is the low season.  Accordingly, many of the village dining options are closed for the season.  However, if you are looking for a Colorado Rockies summer vacation, the ski villages can be a fantastic bargain for summer travel.  An ordinary hotel room in Denver will probably cost you over $200 a night.  For less money, you can get a very nice 2-3 BR, 2+ bath, full kitchen condo at Copper.  They have some activities on site in the summer, but you can use it as your base to explore the front range.  A Safeway and Walmart are less than 10 minutes away in Frisco.

If Covid19 permits, we are returning to Copper in 2020.  This time, we are going to try a larger unit at the Mill Club.

Excellent Summer Value

We reserved this unit through Copper Mountain Vacations for a 5 night stay 2-8 Feb, 2020.
It is a 1 bedroom unit with a living room/kitchen combo.  The living room has 2 pull out sofa couches with terrific views of the American Eagle lift/slopes. Unit includes a locker on the ground floor for your skis.  A 40 step walk from locker to the lift, a truly ski in/ski out location.  You can not beat the views or location for skiing – that’s the good. 
The BAD - this unit is dated and needs some serious work.   We checked in to the unit mid afternoon and Copper happened to be having a warm spell.  Opened the one window in kitchen to cool the room and then was unable to close.  Called maintenance and he managed to close the window, but said a part needed to be ordered as it had broken.  The second night we had to call maintenance because the fire place would not come on.  That was an easy fix as the pilot had gone out. The fireplace has a 1 hour timer and does not throw any heat due to not having a blower.   On the third night Copper area experienced a cold spell with temps in the single digits.  We noticed the condo was not getting warm with the thermostat cranked up to 80 (although that was not registering as it was broken too).  Called maintenance again at 8:30 pm and he informed us that if temps get too low the heating system can’t keep up with the demand and therefore you must use space heaters (which were in closet) to heat the condo.  We did not use the space heaters that night due to  safety issues and froze.  Had to sleep with clothes on and many blankets. It was -7 outside the next morning upon waking with the temperature inside barely reaching 60 degrees.
Needless to say, we checked out after having a miserable night and did not stay the remaining 2 nights.  Copper Mountain Vacations did refund those 2 nights but reluctantly.  
This building needs a new heating system to accommodate guests.  The living room has floor to ceiling glass windows that are great for views but are very drafty. I would NOT recommend staying here in the winter and hope this information will help others in reserving a room at Copper mountain.

Copper Junction unit 305, Great views BUT needs serious updating/maintenance

It'd be hard to find a better located condo in Copper Mountain. It's a short walk to the Gondola after you get your skis out of the ski locker downstairs. At the end of the day you can stop for a reasonably priced beer at Eagle Barbecue right by the ski lockers. 
We booked our condo through Copper Vacations who I'd also recommend. 

Great location 

The two condos closest to the lifts are Copper Junction and Copper One.  Copper Junction is the closest one to American Eagle (the one with the Gondolas) and Copper One is a closer to American Flyer.  I am writing this because I am always tying to find the closet condo building to the lifts. The gondola  is about fourty steps from the Copper Junction Ski Lockers.
