Awesome place and huge compared to most rental Cabins in the area. Sincere thanks for the bottle of wine as we celebrate the start of her birthday week and our 47th anniversary!  Might be challenging to access it in the winter without 4WD.

Perfect spot for post river or tain

My husband and I booked a cabin for our wedding anniversary. We stayed in cabin 3, and we absolutely loved it. The room was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed, including extra towels and bedding for our pup. The hot tub was such a nice treat, and we had a lot if privacy. The cabins are located near all sorts of shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities to keep us busy during the day but hanging out at the cabin was my favorite part. We used the grill and fire pit to make some steaks and smores in the evening, and then enjoyed soaking in the hot tub surrounded by nature. It was a very relaxing getaway and I would definitely recommend it to anybody wanting to visit the smokey mountains.

Perfect weekend getaway.

Was absolutely fantastic. Quiet, refreshing and very comfortable. Sat in the hot tub while listening to the rain. Great location, cool little bar/restraunt down the road. Tommy's Paradise.. 
Will be back.

Ocean to Mountain View

Cabin number five at Nantahala Cabins had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing weekend. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. It had everything we needed for an awesome stay. We really enjoyed the porch, hot tub, and fire pit. Communication, reservation,check in and check out were all top notch.  We can't wait to go back.

Comfy cabin

My family and I travel to Bryson City in the spring usually we needed a break so we tried several places as we usually stay closer to town we found a cabin here The Bear Den when I called the person on the other end was nice and very helpful.  If you stay in  The Bear Den make sure to remember the cut off your traction control as it is on a pretty good incline ( steep grade) but doable. We found the cabin clean and very quiet  we enjoyed our stay plenty of room for family of 4 we enjoyed the hot tub.  The fire pit  could have been a little closer grass needed cutting but over all nice . If you going rafting this is the place to stay. 

Long weekend get away 

We were expecting this to be very nice since it was nearly four hundred dollars a night after all fees. Please know that the owners are nice and friendly, so I do not want to discourage people from going, I would go back if it was HALF this price, or included some excursion...this is just INCREDIBLY expensive for what it is. We stayed in the Wolf cabin. It has no views. We have 5 in our family. It says max 8. This would not ever be possible: there are only 6 dining chairs (at a true 4-top table) There is only one couch in the living room (a futon) which again, for a cabin max sleeps 8 is insufficient. This cabin has a small (max 4-6 ppl) jacuzzi which was serviced while we were there. It shares a fire pit with the cabin  next door which is very close to Wolf Den (we could hear their music from our porch). The pictures make it look new. It is not. It’s not that it’s dramatically old, but for this rate I expected more comfortable bedding and furniture. The beds and the bedding are a step up from camping. It’s adequate for a mountain cabin, it’s remarkably dated for this price.

 Needs a price adjustment 

Cabin was clean and had everything we needed including a hot tub. Staff was friendly. Cabin is too close to road noise to have a peaceful experience sitting on the deck. The gravel road is narrow, uneven, and a bit steep. Recommend have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle to get in and out, especially if it rains.

Could be better

We really enjoyed our stayed in cabin #3. The cabin was basic, clean, and the jacuzzi was a fantastic addition. It would have been nice if salt and pepper or any basic cooking spices/oils were available to use, but the kitchen had all the necessary cookware. We would most likely stay again.

Overall nice

My wife and I stayed several nights in cabin #5.  The cabin was perfect for our needs.  It was equipped with a clean functional kitchen, plenty of living space, efficient WIFI, TV, and the hot tub was a perfect touch.  The location of the cabins is ideal.  You are within a stones throw from so many amazing activities.

We will certainly stay again!

Great stay at Nantahala Cabins

The Cabin was ok. The beds were not comfortable. The view was nice. The hot tub was a nice feature. The basics are provided for in the kitchen. 
Watch out for an added standard cleaning fee. We booked through Orbitz/Expedia and the cleaning fee was charged separately by Nantahala Cabins. The gravel driveway up to the cabins is a bear to maneuver. The location is close to the gorge. Easy access to main highways. Overall a pleasant stay but will not likely return to stay again.
