Very friendly family run establishment, a real personal service that you don’t get at larger hotels, or even b and b’s. The owners clearly think of how to provide a pleasant experience for their guests. Location really nice village with some nice pubs within minutes walk

An excellent B & B very welcoming the room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also excellent.

Liz and Grame were absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful and the tow was a great visit.

It was spotlessly clean and we had a very warm welcome from Liz, the owner.  I must admit , she goes the extra mile when it comes to make us comfortable. The breakfasts are extra special.  She makes the bread herself and also makes the marmalade. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Liongate B&B

From the welcome plate of delicious home made brownies to the delicious breakfast before departure, our stay at Liongate House was faultless. Wonderful home, great hosts.

I discovered Liongate House when scrolling for somewhere to break our journey home from Cornwall. I wish I'd known about it years ago. Liz and Graham were the prefect hosts and made us feel more like welcome friends than paying guests. Our bedroom was comfortable and extremely well appointed: the breakfast, freshly cooked to order, was scrumptious with homemade bread, jams and marmalade. Perhaps the icing on the cake, when we arrived travel-worn and weary, was to be offered the chance to sit in their beautiful garden with a cup of tea and slice of homemade brownie. Future holidays may  always be planned with a view to stopping off here!

What a wonderful find!

Beautiful, and as lovely as the reviews that led us to stopover in this gorgeous place on our way to the Cornish coast. Beautifully appointed room, amazing hospitality and friendliness and we only wished we had had more time to enjoy.  Breakfast was also so lovely and we could want for nothing more on our first ever English B&B stay.  Thank you Liongate House.

Booked this lovely little breakfast for a quick stop over before a visit to longleat for two adults and a child. Booked the family suite which was perfect. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable- lovely extra big bed and smaller room for our daughter . Lovely and warm on  a Very cold night. Immaculate bathroom and toiletries, tea and coffee makings and a most welcomed drink provided on arrival. Liz and Graham were perfect hosts and the breakfast was first class. Thanks again - can highly recommend ! X

Perfect stopover

Just as good as the first visit, very welcoming and accomodating hosts, room was first class, I stayed in the Lowrie suite as before which was Ideal for my limited mobilty, it has an excellent wet room. Breakfast was plentiful and cooked fresh at your request.
I'm almost afraid to recommend it in case we can't get booked in on our next stopover on the wat to Devon

Return Visit

This  was an absolute delight. Exceptional in everything from the hosts, room, bathroom, selections of teas, extras. There was nothing at all missing. Lovely temperature. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of room. Free soft drinks from the fridge downstairs. Breakfast was excellent with homemade jams, fresh strawberries, raspberries organic yoghurt. Selection menus for cooked breakfast, fresh juices and plenty of tea and coffee all served in a lovely room. Can’t rate this place highly enough. Will definitely go again if in the area.

Exceptional B and B

One of the best B&B I have stayed in, from the moment I arrived I was made to feel very welcome by the owners.

My room was excellent very clean and spacious and some very nice touches of having access to complimentary chilled water, milk and cokes.

Location is an excellent base with lots of tourist attractions and national trust properties all within a short journey 5-20 minutes away.

If eating there is a lovely Italian restaurant a few minutes walk away.

My stay was finished off with an excellent breakfast.

Would highly recommend if looking for a property to stay in the area

Excellent B&B

Our third short break at Liongate House, and once again, everything was perfection. Wonderful hosts, Liz and Graeme, first class breakfast, and a great position for visiting places, such as Glastonbury, Wells, Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast. Highly recommended. Wonderful stay at a fabulous b&b

We’ve just spent a memorable few days at Liongate. What wonderful hosts Liz and Graeme are, nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and every amenity you could need, including a guest fridge with fresh milk and water, beer and coke, all complementary. Breakfasts were cooked to order and excellent. The homemade jams and marmalade were very tasty too. Will definitely return and recommend to family and friends. Thank you Liz and Graeme for making our mini break so enjoyable.  Sue & Alan
