Woman on reception Tracy was very friendly and helpful. Recommended next door for something to eat and told us to book a table. Room was clean and comfy. Hotel needs a bit of a makeover but pleasant. Meal in green king was lovely but very busy as we were told it would be

Nice relaxing place to stay near Carlisle town centre with ample FREE parking. All the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Food in the bar/restaurant next door is inexpensive, nice and great value for money. Staff in there are also very helpful and friendly. Overall very good and we will definitely be back.

Natasha was awesome very welcoming helpful and friendly she went above and beyond and was professional and smiley throughout definitely made our stay the best and one we will never forget an absolute credit to premier inn I wish every premier inn had a Natasha there I will leave refreshed and looked after thank you Natasha phenomenal.

The staff are very friendly  and helpful Especially Gracie who made us feel very special and valued customers. Her welcoming smile and friendly attitude made us want to return and Premier Inn are very lucky to have employees like her.Room was comfortable and food was good.The only downside,was when my husband went to check in at 2 50pm,the womam on reception(October 1st) was quite unfriendly and told him very abruptly that he would have to pay £10 as check in was not til 3pm.He was quite upset at the way she spoke to him.When he returned just after 3pm Gracie could not have been kinder or more welcoming.

Clean and comfortable room. Very welcoming and helpful staff. The food was very tasty. The staff could not have been more helpful. It was very easy to find and I felt the staff enjoyed their jobs. Thank you to the girl on the desk when we arrived 

Having been stranded in Carlisle, unable to get to scotland we decided to book in for 1 night. Manager was very helpful on arrival. Room was spotlessly clean. Went to the restaurant area and were greeted by Nic, amazing lady who looked after us from start to finish. Ate in the restaurant that night and the food was lovely. All staff were lovely, but special shout out to Nic, thank you for making our day a whole lot more bearable. Team are fab! 

We stopped off for just one night here, we arrived to a very warm welcome from Codie, she was extremely polite, professional and helpful, a great asset to represent the hotel.
The room was very comfortable with fluffy pillows, we slept well, which was good considering we had a long drive to Edinburgh the following day.
There was a good selection of tea and coffee in the room and a vending machine downstairs to get any snacks.
The lady on Reception at check out was also very friendly and asked if everything was OK, which it was.
The car park is large and free of charge, all in all a very pleasant stay and a bargain price we paid of £39.99, would highly recommend.



Fantastic very helpful and codie made us very welcome tbh the best I've met at all the Inn I've been to and one of a very few my daughter has spoke to . Don't change codie.  Hotel needs a make over but clean and friendly

First return after pandemic and couldn't have been more pleased with the welcome and extraordinary assistance from Kellie. Kellie and Julie went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable.  

Rooms still require a sprucing up, but overall this Premier Inn is far better than most in city centre and not being in city centre is a huge reason why we always chose to stay here.

Myself and two relatives had the need to stay at this hotel for a little over 3 months due to construction work being done on our home that rendered it uninhabitable. It was a simply wonderful place to stay. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and, as you can imagine, being at this location for such a long time, we spent a considerable amount of time in these rooms. If I were to be nit-picky, the lavatory paper was just simply awful, so I ended up bringing my own, and the television remote in one of our rooms didn't work. We had the need of a disabled access room, and again, it was really spacious, comfortable and easy to get to, unlike the Premier Inn a little further up the road at junction 44 in Carlisle which put their disabled access rooms at the farthest point away from anywhere of use.

The staff were polite, helpful and accommodating, greeting us each morning with a smile. One specific member of staff, Tasha, who works the front desk at late night shifts was especially delightful; always cheerful and talkative and extremely helpful. Being that I suffer with insomnia, I had many a late night conversation with her and she was always very helpful with things pertaining to the hotel and beyond, offering help and advice when I was feeling overwhelmed by the situation I found myself in with the work being done on my home. She was especially considerate while doing her rounds late in the night, making sure not to let doors slam and being light-footed as she walked the halls, unlike another member of the late night team who often seemed to stamp his way through the halls apparently barging his way loudly through the doors, letting them slam noisily behind himself.

The attached bar and restaurant is actually a separate business, but does provide the breakfast for the hotel. The cooked breakfast is plentiful and often nicely prepared, although on occasion the fried eggs weren't fully cooked, but that only happened maybe twice in our extensive stay. The continental breakfast bar was generally well stocked with a plethora of option. The bar itself is a very busy location, so if you wish to have a meal, it is best to book a table as they are full most nights. The food is very good, considerably better than the hotel owned restaurant up at the junction 44 location. Similarly, the staff within the bar were polite and helpful with one particular member of staff, Anne, who we encountered many times at breakfast being cheerful and talkative, often offering us help and advice on the construction situation at our home, every day asking how it was coming along.

Overall, having spent such a considerable amount of time at this location, I can't really complain about much at all, and any complaints I might have would be more from inconsiderate guests and not the fault of the hotel of the staff.

Short New Year stay, unfortunately for a family funeral. Hotel is located next to an unrelated Greene King pub but this works well for evening dining of a reasonably priced and to a reasonable standard. Staff at hotel are friendly and helpful. I needed some directions re the funeral and Tracey on the reception was very informative and keen to help. Rooms are perfectly acceptable for short stays-comfortable bed, reasonable appointments, fairly standard for a Premier Inn. Coffee making facilities, fan, hairdryer etc.Good access to city, ample free guest car parking. All in all, good value and fit for purpose

Very good!

Lovely reception staff very helpful, the adjoining restaurant/ bar was awful though (the lady did advise me they aren’t together) but she helped us find somewhere else to eat down the road coach and horses and it was lovely if not better room was clean, everything was fine but the lady on reception was lovely very helpful.

Great place to stay

Visited over half term for one night on our way to Scotland and we visited Carlisle Castle whilst there which is a short drive away. 

Hotel was clean and beds comfy but rooms could do with a bit of maintenance upkeep (mainly some painting and the bathrooms are tired andwould benefit from an upgrade). Was fine for one night though and the shower was nice and warm.

Ate at the pub next door for evening meal and breakfast - good value and food decent. I'd recommend booking though as it gets busy.  

This hotel's main asset though is the staff. They were FAB. We were welcomed with a big smile from a gentleman (didn't catch his name) who was really friendly and spoke to the children and asked them about their visit to the castle.  Then when we left the next morning, Julie and Kelly were really lovely. They asked us where we were headed and when we said up to Scotland, they produced a basket of toys for the children to choose from to keep them occupied in the car. The lady who served us breakfast in the pub also gave the children some muffins and pancakes for snacks on the way. 

Would stay again just for the great staff.

Out of date instructions for heating.
Bedside light did not work -  corrected quickly.once reported
Toilet roll holder in bathroom should have been more readily accessible. You needed to twist round to reach it.

Let down by small detais

Great room great staff just really needs an update and a good coat of paint it’s looking really tired now ,but at the price you pay it’s cheap and cheerful . Room was ok staff were great breakfast is cooked and bought to you so that’s a nice touch .
