I stayed in the single room to use Weymouth as a base to hike sections of the South West Coast Path for a week from Lyme Regis to Poole. Weymouth is well connected with public transport and the Florian was very conveniently located on the bus route towards Lyme Regis and for busses into town, or only 15 min walk into town (the train station, busses going eastwards and to Portland, the beach).
I have food intolerances which makes eating out difficult. The kitchenette was well equipped with everything I needed for the week including a normal-sized fridge to hold my week's shopping. ASDA is only 10 min walk away as well. Sue also provided me with an alternative welcome pack, catering to my dietary needs.
A private / separate bathroom might not be everyone's liking. I certainly prefer it to an en-suit that is simply squashed into the corner of a room. Mine was a good size with a large shower and I was able to wash and dry my gear.
The accommodation was clean and bright but still felt cosy and comfortable. Overall, a very pleasant stay and I hope to be coming back.

Perfect base for Coast Path hike

Our room was perfect. Could not fault it one bit. The lovely little touches, such as cereal boxes, milk and juice in the fridge were perfect for our arrival. 10 minute ( straight road) walk into town via the Quay. So convenient!
Very comfortable room. Will definitely stay again in the future..we stayed In the family room , room 1 ground floor. 
Sue was very accommodating and lovely and friendly. 
Parked out front which was Fab. I know it's first come, first serve. Door code to get in was very convenient for coming and going. Refreshments were laid out the morning we vacated- unexpected and a lovely treat.

Loved it! Perfect location and great room

My friend and I stayed at The Florian whilst we took part in the Jurassic Coast Challenge. It was the perfect base - our twin room was really well equipped with kitchen facilities and the room was comfortable and clean. There were also some essentials in the room such as milk and pastries which was unexpected but generous. The car parking at the front is very convenient and the harbour and sea front is only a 15min walk. Sue is a welcoming and friendly host. I would recommend and return. 

Excellent facilities 

Been here for 2 weeks due to working in the area. Sue and Dave are more than helpful and nothing is to much trouble. Rooms have all you need and comfortable, will definitely book again if I'm in the area with work or family.

Great place to stay

We stayed here for 2 nights. The en-suite twin room (double) was clean and comfortable and it had a kitchenette area so as to make your own food. There was a basic breakfast pack of milk, cereals, tea, coffee, sugar, marmalade, jam, pastries etc. There was an ironing board, iron, electric fan in the room as well. The owner, Sue, was pleasant, friendly and helpful. We parked the car for the 2 days and walked into the town/beach each day. Not far from ASDA and other small shops to get food/drinks. We will consider staying there again. Thank you Sue.

Ideal place to stay for a couple of days.

Absolutely lovely little guest house. Perfect size, a few rooms and a lovely sitting room.

We were greeted by Sue who gave us all the information we needed for our stay. 

We took a taxi into town and it was her son who took us and he was so friendly.

The room was cosy, the bathroom was immaculate and well designed for the space. Had everything we needed and did not feel cramped. 

Had a small kitchenette with a kettle, sink, fridge, freezer, microwave and a TV just above.

Loved the small bowl with tea and coffee in. We had croissants, cereals and milk and juice in the fridge. Best place we have ever stayed. 

Shower was one of the best showers, not ideal for people of size as it was quaint but perfect for us. 

Absolutely loved this guest house it was quiet and nice to stay in and Sue was so welcoming and helpful. Showed us around the room and showed us a map of how to get around town! Brilliant couldn't fault her 😁😁

Perfect.

we had a great stay here, the location is great - 10 min walk to town centre. The host is very welcoming & hospitable. Rooms are nice, clean and tidy, and the kitchenette is very handy for breakfast/lunch. well worth it!

excellent, highly recommended!

I would recommend The Florian. It is competitively priced, clean and close to the town centre. The rooms have all been extensively renovated in 2016. What is a real bonus at the price level is to have in each room a fridge/freezer, kettle and microwave. Sue Pitman, the owner, has provided everything a guest may need in terms of crockery, cutlery, corkscrews, can openers and washing up liquid.
Sue changed the linen every two days so it was always fresh. She was very friendly and helpful.

An excellent small hotel close to the centre of Weymouth

Stayed here 8th & 9th March. Can not fault anything with the hospitality and accommodation. Attention to detail is spot on, everything you need. Thought has gone into the running of this business. Value for money & we did not get asked to pay as soon as we walked in the door like many other places. 

Recomend

A very friendly owner, very clean and spacious room, ideal as a base for visiting local area.
Excellent selection at breakfast, very comfortable bed, understand that the owner will be refurbing at the end of this season
Will use again if in the area
