Regina Hotel

My wife and I travelled by train on the 30/12/2024 staying 3 nights in the Regina Torquay , until the 2/01/2025. We were due to arrive into Torquay about 10.30 and as the check in time is 16.00 we took up the £10 option of 13.00 check in. We arrived at the hotel about 11.30 and was greeted by a pleasant reception who said we could leave our bags behind the desk. We went over the road to have a pint in the harvester while we waited. We arrived back at the hotel about 12.45 and again the guy behind the reception said sit in the lounge I will check on your room. Five minutes later he was back and checked us in to room 70 on floor 3 , lift available. On entering the room we found everything we required was there except shower gel, hair, soap. I went back to reception and was on apology given enough for our 3 nights. I do blame ourselves for this we were early on and early check in. They did try to rush us through. Everything in the room and bathroom was clean and warm , view over the harbour lovely. Beds comfortable and sleep was easy and warm. Not a complaint as we were out most of the time but did find the TV to small for its room location, could move to bathroom wall or slightly larger ( not a complaint ). Check out was simple on day of departure and would we use this hotel again , definitely. The location is great for harbour , Torquay town , buses etc
