What would you wish for from your ideal boutique hotel stay?
Well, i dont know you,  but I know what I like -
Great location convenient for all the City attractions.
Stunning building full of history and gorgeous features.
Staff for whom nothing is any bother and always smiling.
An owner who is on top of the details and goes out of his way to help.
A dreamily comfortable bed and a shower that works.
Fresh cake available daily to your room.
Quite possibly the best breakfast in the City. ( a bold claim perhaps, but try the homemade blackberry jam before you disagree )
Great value for money.
There’s bound to be things that I have missed, but you get the picture.
There’s no doubt for me that when we next visit The Fine City of Norwich, 38 St Giles will be the first place we try for a room.

Don’t know if this is perfection, but it’s pretty close !

Norwich is quickly becoming my favourite small city in the East of England and at just under 2 hours from home, a convenient place to visit.
So where better to stay within this vibrant city centre than 38 St Giles St, an elegant Georgian townhouse situated on a street of similarly architectural pleasures and less than 2 minutes walk from the eclectic market place and independent shopping lanes.
We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and shown to the Nelson room, which is on the ground floor and facing onto the street.
It would be difficult to walk into this room without saying wow, its period features are highlighted by the quality finish and quality furnishings and we were pleased to see that home made brownies had been provided on the well stocked tea tray. We were also gifted a small box of chocolates and upon request oat milk.
The bed had quality linen, was  large, very comfortable and provided us with a peaceful nights sleep, both the bedroom and adjoining en suite were spotless and the room temperature just right. The following morning every effort was made to accommodate our dietary requirements and this was what really stood out for us, the level of service is second to none and everyone we met was genuinely warm and kind. 
This is without doubt the best place to stay in Norwich and will always be our first choice when visiting, thank you so much

A Perfect Stay

An excellent bed and breakfast in a Georgian townhouse located in a quiet side street in the old part of Norwich, within easy walking distance of the castle and the cathedral. Well equipped room, comfortable bed and original features, including beautiful wide oak floorboards. Good full English for breakfast.

First rate boutique bed and breakfast 

An out-of-the ordinary guest house in a quaint old building - complete with creaky floorboards so beware of early-morning or late-night noises! An elegant and comfortable room, nicely decorated with antiques. I think that the kettle should have been placed upon the table with the coffee machine however; when we first arrived I couldn't find it, and made a right old mess fiddling about with tea bags, soaking the floor with water in the process! Fortunately we soon found the kettle....and chocolate brownie cake was provided as a welcome! The manager, Daima, is charming and friendly. Breakfasts are very tasty, with savoury offerings of spiced avocado with eggs on sourdough, eggs Benedict or eggs Royale (with smoked salmon). The guest house is mostly not staffed (you keep your key with you and use an entry code for the front door) so this needs to be taken into consideration. 

Atmospheric boutique establishment

This is a beautiful house , well appointed rooms , friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Every detail thought out - home made brownies to welcome you , still and sparkling water in the room  - also a brilliant location right in the centre of Norwich but still pretty quiet

Perfect stay in the centre of Norwich

Just back from a birthday celebration and stay in Norwich! Could not have picked a better place to stay!! Beautiful rooms, amazing breakfast, and perfect central location. The host was so lovely, helpful and so accommodating. We will definitely be back!!

Absolute Gem!!

Well what a find 38 St Giles is! Tucked away from the street down a small alley this quality establishment promises a luxurious stay from the moment you step inside the front door and take in the impressive hallway, sweeping staircase, chandeliers and highly polished wood floors with lovely rugs.
The room didn't disappoint either with its quirky slopes, views across the medieval rooftops, lovely period furnishings and top quality bed linen, it even had a bath and not just any run of the mill hotel bath, no this was large enough to allow one to luxuriate in peace.
The brownies on arrival was a nice touch and the room was spotlessly clean, we had a very comfortable and peaceful nights sleep following our night out discovering the city, which is right on the doorstep. The breakfast was delicious and the young lady we met was thoroughly delightful, thank you for a lovely stay, we hope to return

A Luxurious Stay

Amazing evening spent at this lovely period B&B which left us feeling completely refreshed. Luxurious feel, friendly staff, great service and mouthwatering breakfast. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

38 St Giles isn’t your run of the mill B&B. A fantastic stay with finer touches to make you feel truly welcome.
Our stay in the Gurney suite was luxurious, spacious with everything you would need. The bed was pure comfort.
Breakfast was exquisite with warm and friendly service nothing was too much trouble.
Would highly recommend for that special stay away.

Amazing!

Interesting hotel which was a little disappointing as there was no lounge now. The room we had was at top of two flights of stairs, was well appointed but we found it very hot and eventually managed to get sash window inside the secondary double glazing open.
Breakfast was outstanding and went some way to justifying the significant cost.
