Popped in for a drink at night and were not wowed!! Staff very lethargic and not very hospitable.  Drinks were vastly over- priced!! No atmosphere to speak of.  Will not be returning!! Avoid if you are on a budget!!!

Location: better and less rowdy side of ingoldmells
Staff: Friendly, helpful and efficient
Room: The standard rooms are small and the shower room is definitely bijou lol. BUT the bed is comfy, tea and coffee is provided, it’s spotlessly clean and the shower is hot. We upgraded for a further night (any excuse for a bargain n extend the weekend lol) the annexe rooms are large and the shower room is very spacious. The little balcony is great to sit on and enjoy a drink n boggy
Overall: A fantastic break and will definitely be back

Fantastic

My family and I went to anchor for food we were served by a smashing bloke called Sam he was absolutely lovely in fact he is the reason I gave 4 stars he actually deserves 5 he took our order saved us money in the burger deal . Food arrived it was typical pub grub no more no less but my husband did not receive his meal Sam came with my husband’s free pint and realised he’d not got his food he immediately chased this up . He was so friendly and down to earth

The worst pub food I have ever had. How can you get Fish and chips and pie and chips wrong. Fish and chips served burnt  The pie must have been reheated a few times as it was dry and burnt sent back. Also had the most overpriced cheese burger which was tasteless and covered with a single cheap cheese slice

Worst food ever 

Decor updated but place empty on a Saturday  ( which should of told us something! We ordered food and found it to be of poor quality  and expensive for what we received. We will certainly be giving this place a miss next time . 

Better options in the area

I had a lovely stay here. Room is budget standard room with a very small bathroom. I feel its a bit expensive for room only but location is great. All staff lovely and friendly. Had a really relaxed stay. Bit nosey with all the doors banging and people coming up and down the stairs.

3 night stay 
Room very small and basic,.
Towels not changed (despite leaving in shower to be changed)and bin not emptied in 3 days we were there, don’t think housekeeping even came in our room at all. 
Food downstairs very expensive, for very basic ‘pub grub’

Expensive good location

On arrival room not ready come back in an hour, Basic room which was ok uncomfortable beds. Drinks ridiculous prices and the food was awful late and tasteless. Bar staff and in fact all the staff have an attitude as though they really don't want to be there and we were putting them out. Location is the best and with a change of attitude and clean up the service this could be a gold mine.

Never again

Slow and rubbish service, overpriced food, poorly cooked. Don’t have a Carvery, it came out, looked like it was last Sundays. Considering we are in Lincolnshire and potatoes are in abundance, the mash here tasted like it came from a packet. They lost the kids meals and got the order wrong. With businesses struggling at the moment, there are plenty of options available. This is one to avoid

Don’t bother

Visited the pub on hoilday with my family we popped in to watch footy and i ask if was on to a reply i anint got a clue order a drink the lady serving stuck her nose in the air as asked to change  my drink to a pint she hadn't poured its as if u are asking for the world everythink seems to be a effort for the bar staff very rude not welcomeing need to learn some customer service .
