Stayed in Two Hoots Barn for two nights end of August, with my great nephew aged 8 yrs. He loved it, and now wants to return, but for 4 nights as "two nights was not long enough". The accommodation was excellent. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything looked new. Lots of attention to detail for things which might be needed,  including dishwasher tablets. The advantage of the kitchen was that we could make our own breakfast, particularly good when with a young child. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The main room had comfortable sofa, armchairs, occasional table, tv  and a small dining area . A very pretty vase of fresh flowers on the fireplace mantle was a nice welcome touch. There was a large vestibule, very useful for discarded shoes etc. A parking space was directly outside the front door, with a small seating area which came in useful for garden games like quoits and boules.  The highlight for my nephew were the pigs and horses, and on our first evening he was invited to accompany Gary to feed the pigs. Thereafter, each morning and evening he insisted on visiting them. 
Wellington Farm was a perfect place to stay for our fossil hunting trip and a big "thank you" to Gary and Marcia for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. My nephew is insisting on a return and I am happy to agree.

Comfortable and enjoyable stay

Me and my boyfriend have just stayed here in keepers lodge last night. We arrived at the b and b for check in to a lovely friendly welcome and a chat. We were taken up to the lodge which was gorgeous, Marcia had already been up and put the heating on for our arrival which we thought was really nice and thoughtful as it was cold. Horses roaming in fields and will come over for a stroke just outside the cabin- lovely. She even went back down to the main house again to get us milk for our coffee. They can't do enough to help you here. In the morning we were outside the cabin as Marcia and Gary came up to feed the animals and we ended up just chatting for ages  these are the nicest people we've met, the hospitality and welcome are outstanding. We have booked again for next weekend as we enjoyed this place so much. Thank you for everything and welcoming us into your home so nicely. Lisa and will.

Amazing place and hospitality

We stayed at Wellington Farm for 5 nights.  We stayed in a chalet which was very clean and comfortable, with me, my partner and my boy.  Marcia & Gary were very accommodating in providing an extra bed for my boy (aged 8).  The grounds were very quiet and peaceful.  So dark at night (very little light pollution) We witnessed a million stars as we looked above, beautiful!  

Breakfast was good too, a fry up, also plenty of choice of fresh fruit and cereals. 

We hope to see you sooner rather than later, thank you both, Marcia and Gary for a very pleasant experience.   Cheers!

Excellent!

A warm and friendly welcome.  Comfortable and varied accommodations.  We stayed in the Mariners Lodge which was clean and thoughtfully decorated.  Excellent breakfast and good location.  We will definitely revisit.

Just home from our 2nd stay here,gary & marcia are superb hosts,the b'fast is supa dupa,room we have is gr8,ground floor,all in all fantabidozy 😀,if you need anything,just ask,mick & sue,happy r us 🤗😀

Happened by chance to stop here for lunch driving back from Cornwall to Portsmouth and am so glad we did! Such a lovely friendly welcome and a lovely lunch. My mum isn’t easy to please and she described her bacon and egg sandwich as the best she has ever had! I will definitely be booking a room here next time I travel down to visit family to break up the journey as it looks so clean and homely. What a find!

Fantastic lunch

We really enjoyed our night at Wellington Farm. We stayed as an extended family of 11 adults and children and had rooms in the main house, the back annexe and one of the the cabins. The owners were charming and our rooms were clean, bright and individually styled. Very comfy beds, fluffy towels, delicious breakfast with homemade sausages. Thank you Marcia and Gary!

Was walking from Honiton to Axminster on one of the hottest days of the year with a friend who is walking from Exeter to London for charity. Popped in here on Saturday to ask them to refill our water bottles. Even though they were busy in the restaurant, the owners couldn’t have been more helpful. They filled our bottles and also contributed to the charity my friend is walking for. Just brilliant.

So friendly

Disappointed with the service, female host was abrupt and rude, although she may have thought not but when you're from another country I suppose you don't do you.  
Also had parking issues as to where I could actually park, I stayed one night and I did not bother with breakfast as I just wanted to leave, won't be coming back to Wellington farm that's for sure.

Not all there

We stayed for just one night and all was fine until the morning when we were about to leave, we saw a tourist park up quickly just to take a quick picture with his camera of the lovely view from the road side, the host went out to greet him and ask what he was doing, he obviously just wanted to take a quick photo and that he would be off. The host then got quite irate and told him he had no right to park, the tourist exchanged some words that we could not hear but he seemed reasonable. Suddenly the host became verbally loud and when the tourist tried to shut the door of his car to simply drive off, the host grabbed the door of his car and would not let him close it and she was shouting at him, she looked quite threatening and we thought she was going to attack him. It was disturbing to watch, the man was not all that big and it seemed Thuggish the way she treated him. The tourist was clearly shocked and angry and drove off once she let him close the car door. This was the only thing that ruined our stay here. I would expect this Thuggish behaviour in a City street but not in a sleepy English village. Has put me off coming here again.
