Smiling hosts, Barbara and Chris, along with their incredibly friendly pup, were all eager to greet me at their stunning home. Gorgeous views, accommodations galore, beautifully decorated and the most scrumptious homemade breakfasts I've ever had. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Stunning home with incredibly accommodating hosts and pup

I feel so ashamed that it has taken me this long to write this. 
I left Letham House with every intention of getting home and writing my first TripAdvisor review. Excited to give Barbara and Chris the review they very much deserved. Letham House is charming and elegant. I felt like I was walking into a Charles Dickens novel. Every room had a little bit of the original decor but tastefully done. The room was extremely comfortable and cosy, which made it hard for us to leave the room for dinner. The bathroom was stunningly designed. The victorian freestanding bath was complete indulgence and perfect for switching off from the busyness of life. The grounds around Letham House are spectacular and I'd fully recommend having a night cap in the Drawing Room with the open fire warming you up after a lovely walk around the estate. Just less than a hour’s drive from Edinburgh is an area where you can totally detach from the chaos of the city life and indulge yourself in outstanding beauty and tranquility. The owners Barbara and Chris are professional and very welcoming. You will leave with a lovely warm feeling after your stay at Letham House. It's a magical experience.

Letham House was truly magical.

Had a really restful couple of days here. Beautiful setting, very comfortable rooms, lovely hosts. Couldn’t want for more. They have an excellent arrangement with local (and very good) restaurant to pick you up and drop you back after. Perfect!

Very tranquil place to relax

I recently stayed here with 5 friends. We also have a Christmas night away in a hotel and this year we thought we'd try a small boutique hotel. We are glad we did. The hotel is lovely and we had it to ourselves. Barbara and Chris were great hosts. We had tea and cake when we arrived, a delicious 3 course dinner of soup, roast turkey Christmas dinner and sticky toffee pudding and a delicious cooked breakfast the following morning. After dinner we enjoyed drinks in the communal lounge. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. I would definitely recommend the hotel to others.

Night with friends

Delightful, clean, spacious bedrooms very welcoming and delicious breakfast. Travelling alone felt very safe. Would certainly consider staying again if in the area. All  together a positive experience and would recommend to others.  

A very comfortable place

If you want a relaxing, warm, comfortable, beautiful and friendly experience look no further. Our stay at Letham House was superb. We were welcomed into these gorgeous hotel as if we were staying with family or close friends. 

Can’t rate it highly enough

I have stayed in many places and countries over the years and I have to say this is my favourite place, with the most wonderful welcome and beautiful surroundings. I slept like a baby and didn’t want to leave! Would definitely recommend. Letham House really is perfect in every way. Thank you so much Barbara and Chris.

Absolutely wonderful 

Such a beautiful and comfortable hotel. A grand home with beautiful grounds and had a wonderful stay.  Our hosts were incredibly helpful and welcoming and I wouldn’t hesitate to return.   Breakfast was delicious too!

I rarely feel compelled to leave a review as I use hotels every week of the year. It is most unusual to find a venue that ticks all the boxes but Letham house is definitely in that category.
From your arrival along the tree lined driveway,greeting from the perfect hosts,Barbara & Chris, the beautiful decor,gardens,exceptional rooms & breakfast there is absolutely nothing to fault!!! Whether your stay is for work,pleasure,a special occasion or a family gathering I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Outstanding!!

I stayed here with my partner and his family for a wedding in the nearby Dunglass Estate. Letham House and the grounds are beautiful. The rooms were extremely well equipped and had the most confortable beds. The breakfast was also extremely good, with a great choice for both meat eaters and vegetarians like myself. The owners and staff were so so friendly, it really was an enjoyable weekend, thank you.
