The food was cheap products cooks poorly. Not great at all. Sticky toffee pudding was something else. No data in the sponge. Not sure what is was but the worst dessert I have ever had. Service was friendly and good but did not make up for the quality of food.

Good service poor food

I would definitely recommend the Swan hotel, we stayed there for 2 nights, the staff were all lovely and nothing appeared too much for them. We had dinner and breakfast during our stay and the food was amazing. The location was also ideal for visiting local sites.

Brilliant Hotel  and Pub ⭐️

Atmospheric on arrival, brilliant little find. The owners and staff were so welcoming, attentive and made sure we were happy with everything, nothing too much bother and it felt like that. Room was comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. Food was great, and couldn’t ask for a better stay for a little weekend away with friends. Will be returning when up this way again without a doubt!

Brilliant place to stay!!

We were thinking of booking here for our wedding meal so we decided to visit and see what the food and service was like.
The car par seems very narrow and difficult to park. The building itself has so much potential to be a stunning individual pub if invested in. Unfortunately the food was on par with weatherspoons if you like that kind of thing. Very run down toilets in need of tlc such a shame.

Disappointing

everything was brilliant, nothing to improve on in our opinion.  great check in, great room and bathroom, fabulous full english breakfast, and a great check out, loads of free parking. staff are excellent and really friendly, we will be back as soon as we can

one great nights stay

We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and then got shown to one of the largest well presented rooms I’ve stayed in. 
There was a bit of road noise but with the old windows this can’t be helped but it was something that I am not used to. The bathroom didn’t match the room and everything seemed a bit tight. Breakfast was fine.

another great stay at The Swan Hotel, breakfast , evening meals and lunchtime snacks were all first class , served by extremely friendly and helpful staff. Always a pleasure staying here and they go above and beyond to make sure everything is catered for. Looking forward to returning in a couple of months with my wife for the weekend.

Warm , Friendly , Amazing Food and drinks

Stayed here on a business trip and was not disappointed. The service was excellent and staff attentive. The rooms were very nicely presented with a 2 swans made out of the towels which I felt bad using!

Can be a bit loud but what do you expect with a pub outside.

Beautifully presented room

Our stay was excellent. From the friendly and warm welcome to the room , food and cleanliness.  I can't recommend this hotel enough.  The food was quality and plenty of choice.  Being a Jules property the decor and choice of drinks is excellent.

Warm welcoming and all round excellence.

An absolutely gorgeous old building full of character. The room was idyllic with a lovely four poster bed and a luxuriously thick carpet.The food was very nice especially the dessert and was great value for money.The staff were very polite and friendly would definitely recommend and will definitely return soon. Thanks for a great stay.
