Clean, quiet, safe, budget-friendly inn with large yard and plenty of parking close to Heathrow (and friends I was visiting) and Windsor. Good continental or hot breakfast provided. Owner is friendly and helpful.

Great Value

The location is it’s best feature in beautiful surroundings 
The hotel is actually an old pub , old being the apt word
The gardens are very nice with plenty of free parking 
The hotel itself is a little tired and like a throw back to the eighties 
The rooms are ok small with a small tv , small bathroom, shower only
The breakfast is another redeeming feature very nice freshly cooked with good produce
The WiFi is also very good

Nice location 

Although hospitality was good and breakfast nice enough , we were disappointed with the standard of our rooms .
Decor was very tired and old fashioned , we didn't use the shower due to lack of cleanliness and a smell of drains in the small en suite  .
Health and safety issues including electrical sockets not fixed or faulty .
The 'wardrobe' was hangers above the tea making facilities ! 
We had to use the back door , payment was asked for up front .
Despite raising concerns via email with proprietors , we've not had a response as yet .
We wouldn't choose to stay again unfortunately .

Family

We Stayed here whilst attending ascot race course. Room was perfect, clean and good size. Staff all very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of parking and a nice big garden, perfect for children. Breakfast was great with a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Fab little place

We have an appartment in area but wanted visiting family to use it so we booked Royal Standard which was well above are expectations. Owners made us welcome wth clean. large and comfortable room whch we used for tywo weeks. Breakfasts were excelent!

Comfortable stay whilst Australian Family in England

We had room 10, very large with matching bathroom and at front so a bit noisy from road which is busier than expected.Access to all rooms not really best first impression - actually thru back door- but prob best use made of what was front entrance which is now breakfast room. Breakfast ok , but pretty basic. Hosts very good.
Having said all that one could not really expect better for the price which is very reasonable for the location. We would stay again knowing what to expect.


Comfortable clean room

Never stayed at this B&B before and my wife and I needed a place to stay in a hurry due to family reasons. Booked in the morning and arrived the same afternoon. We were given a choice of two rooms to best suit our needs, and were made to feel very welcome. 
Excellent breakfast. Clean and tidy. Handy for many local attractions. 
Will certainly stay again.

Really friendly place to stay

This guesthouse came recommended to us by our friends (it’s only a short walk from their house).

It was perfect for our one night stay. We had a double room with en-suite. The room faced the garden (room 1) and was lovely and peaceful. The decor is a little tired but it did not bother us. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom/shower great.

The breakfast was great, nicely cooked and very tasty. The host was super friendly and very polite.

It is exactly what we needed: a great nights sleep with a good breakfast - just perfect.

Simply put: just perfect 

Needed a bed close to the restaurant we were going and The Royal Standard was ideally situated. Apparently an ex-pub, this large "house" is a warren of corridors and stair cases. The room was traditional. Nothing modern with the furniture, but it was lovely and clean and the duvets still had their ironing creases in them (I like that!). Choice of cooked or "continental" breakfast, although do not expect croissants and cooked meats, cheeses, etc, if having the latter. Cereal and yoghurt with toast and coffee, although we were offered eggs. Stiil, a pleasant experience and the owner was really nice and polite. A good advert for the establishment. Would stay again.

Clean and Friendly Guest House

The rooms were tastefully furnished and had comfy chairs to sit in as well as comfy beds. the rooms are a very good size and even though we had a roadside room we were not disturbed by the traffic noise. The hosts were helpful and friendly and even arranged a taxi for us. Breakfast was good, freshly cooked to order. I would highly recommend this guest house as it idealy located for a number of local attractions with plenty of parking.
