This is my happy place, lovely pub good food staff and accommodation. Our room was lovely with a very large bathroom. Small negatives comfy chairs etc a little grubby plus our room was a little dark, bed a little hard and had a crack in the bathroom sink. To be expected I suppose with the amount of customers etc. didn’t ruin our stay as the positives outweigh the negatives 

Great stay as always 

A friend and I just had a lovely lunch. The service was incredible, the food/drink were delicious and our waitress Chloe was great. Chloe was so friendly, helpful and efficient. We will definitely be going back very soon!

What a lovely lunch!!! 

We booked a room here as it was reasonably near the Suffolk Gin Distillery where we had a gin experience booked, and it was a great stay. 

The staff are lovely and friendly, our room “Boxford” was comfortable and quiet with a good size bathroom, and well equipped with tea and ‘proper’ coffee. We had breakfast included and portions were a good size, and there was a good choice. We both felt we’d like to come back and stay again.

Lovely place to stay

What a great place. Lovely village pub and rooms in an excellent location. Friendly welcome and shown to our lovely room overlooking the grounds. Room have everything we needed and the best shower ever. Staff were so friendly. Had dinner included and food was excellent as was the breakfast. Walks from the pub were great. A great place to chill out.  can't wait to go back

This is an amazing country pub with beautiful rooms. The staff are excellent and the service is superb.  The food is delicious. Would absolutely recommend. We had a wonderfully romantic stay here and look forward to returning.

Fantastic country pub

Wonderful overnight stay at the Crown.   All staff lovely, very polite and happy, all requests dealt with in a professional manor, nothing too much trouble. 
Rooms comfortable, with everything provided, lovely products to use, along with good quality towels and face cloths.
Pub extremely busy,  all meals  Lunch, Evening meal and breakfast first class.  
Love coming to the Crown, will be back


Wonderful stay with excellent food

We came here Saturday evening with friends. People rave about it here, so I thought we'd try it. Husband and I had the burgers. They were both overdone, and the bacon was so hard it was inedible. We had the spring crab rolls for a starter and  really disappointing, too.  Certainly, won't be in a hurry to return. 

Disappointed 

This is the second year we have stayed here for my husbands birthday.  Stayed overnight and enjoyed a very nice meal in the restaurant.  Breakfast was really good and the room very comfortable.  Love this place and feel comfortable here.

Another amazing stay

We made a last minute decision to stay here on their Lazy Sunday B&B offer, and it was perfect from start to finish. I rang to discuss the booking and spoke to a very helpful lady who knew the rooms and was able to help with our requirements. We were in the Mistley room, a first floor “better room“ with a super king-size bed ( slightly firm for our tastes, but didn’t stop us sleeping!) and spacious bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. It doesn’t have a view, looking over the adjacent roof but that wasn’t a problem. All the rooms are in a separate building, The Folly and we found it very quiet. Dinner was excellent - despite being very busy the service was efficient and friendly and the food very good. Breakfast offered a wide choice and again service was excellent. Full marks for good quality toast, and great coffee. There’s lots to see and do in the area. We will definitely return.

Lazy Sunday

We had a fabulous stay at the Crown. The room was perfect not just for us but for our dog to, who was made to feel very welcome! 

There were a few friends staying and others that just joined us for dinner (food was amazing) and we were very well looked after by the bar and waiting staff. In particular Alison did a fantastic job,esp when a large group dine, it can be a challenge getting all orders, different requires etc but she was excellent, nothing was to much trouble, it really made for a perfect experience, thank you so much! 

We are back again in a couple of weeks and can't wait.
