I deal location for city and 1 min from the bay. Basic but clean and tidy. Served our needs . Downside the mattress could do with being replaced as felt a little tired. Parking is a 5 min walk away and with the parking ticket given by hosts is very reasonable £12 for 2 nights. 
We will definitely book again.

Weekend break

This appartment is in a great location, within walking distance of all amenities, including the Millennium Centre Theatre and lots of restaurants. It's spacious and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and powerful shower. We loved the no fuss check-in.

A Great Stay

Lovely apartment situated in a beautiful location with access to transport, restaurants and shops. The apartment was lovely. I had a lovely stay. I had easy access into town and to various other locations I needed to go to. It was clean. Only downside was the shower doesn’t let hot water through, although there is hot water and on booking.com it had stated there would be a smart tv with things like Netflix - there was no smart tv. The fridge was slightly dirty when arrived. Thank you also to Megan and her team for helping me with my stay and the continuous support via email.

Beautiful apartment situated in a beautiful location:

I arrived into Cardiff Quayside to enjoy a weekend away with my partner, which was meant to be a good quality apartment with the essentials all in good order to be able to sleep and self cater if we wished when we had arrived. The photos of the apartment were nothing like the room when we arrived and opened the door. The whole site was surrounded by scaffolding to which we were not notified that there was any renovation work going on in the apartments in the dates we booked. 

We arrived just after the check in time on the day of arrival to realise that the pin to access the building wouldn't initially work as per the email sent beforehand. Once we got let into the building by some other residents in the apartments we found the post box where our keys were for the apartment, We opened it up with the code provided to see 4 envelopes in the post box. 1 addressed to us the other 3 addressed to the occupier of the property.

We opened up the letter addressed to us and inside was a few instructions and the 1 key to the apartment. There was no fob provided to gain access in to the apartment complex as described in the welcome package in the room.

We walked through the next door to find our apartment to noticed a damp smell in the whole stairway. It didn't look like the carpet had been cleaned by a wet vacuum but there was a bin store straight in front as we walked in, maybe the smell was coming through there?  

We made our way up to our apartment number up these stairs to get to the floor and be greeted with the strongest smell of weed I have ever smelt. There was apartments being lived in the area as there was welcome mats outside on the floors but as a guest your not going to knock on the doors to find out who it is and ask them to stop.

Later that evening we wanted a shower as the apartment was like a sauna and no heating was on, The shower itself was probably the best part of the apartment, nice water pressure, good temperature, the things you expect in a shower. My partner washed her hair and wanted to use the hairdryer that was provided. The first socket didn't work so she moved around the room trying different ones. Found one that worked and switched the hairdryer on to which it sounded like we were in a room with a Boeing 747 it was soo noisy, it also started smelling like burning instantly. We checked the Pac Testing Label on the appliance to find it had not been serviced since at least January 2020 as that was the latest expiry date.

To top it off the small fan appliance that was in the cupboard didn't work in any of the sockets in the room. We opened the balcony door to try let some air it but with our view being an un-used garden in the centre of all the apartments there was no breeze at all. All we could see was other apartments or scaffolding. 

The Kitchen work tops were bubbled and chipped and the welcome pack provided photos of a double bin for food waste and general waste but we were only provided with a 1 use flip bin. The dishwasher was still half full, clean, but had not been emptied by the cleaners before our check in time/date.

We left the night before our departure at 18:03 as the stay was so terrible and completely not what we expected when booking the apartment to stay in for the weekend, 

Definitely will be using the Premier Inn based in the Quayside next time and not these apartments for Urban Space again.

Went home early

Arrived in Cardiff  for our first holiday in two years as a family. Accommodation covered in scaffolding so at that point we really should have just walked away however we were prepared to go in and have a look. Sadly the apartment was absolutely  filthy inside, the kitchen and living room were gross and there were flies everywhere. The place was badly worn with door handles hanging off,  there was a hole in one of the doors and a radiator hanging off the wall in the living room!
I contacted urban spaces immediately to complain and was told she could do nothing about the flies!!! Eventually the lady said to give her an hour and she would send someone over to clean the apartment. We did not unpack and went out for a while to consider our options! Three hours later we returned and the cleaning was still going on ( it was now 6pm at night) our kids were exhausted. There was no follow up phone call from urban spaces to say the apartment was now clean or to apologise for the massive inconvenience. We had two very tired little boys who were just wanting to rest after a day travelling and exploring. What a rubbish start to our time in Cardiff.
The apartment was still not all that clean but we decided to try and make the most of it. At 8am the next morning loud bang and drilling started on the scaffolding right outside our window!! An absolute joke to be honest!! I contacted urban spaces again and was told a manger would call me. She did eventually call back and was apologetic but the damage was done and the holiday was now being ruined by the sub standard accommodation which we had paid a lot of money for! 
We booked through Hotels.com and there is nowhere obvious on there website to make a complaint or just to call them. Urban spaces were clearly not interested in making our stay in Cardiff comfortable, relaxing or hassle free. My wife is a Nurse and this was meant to be a relaxing city break as a family. We ended up only staying two nights and left as it was just ruining our holiday and our time in Cardiff.
I was offered a 50% refund for our inconvenience and distress but two weeks on and I have not a refund and have not heard a peep from Urban spaces who are now ignoring my phone calls!

I will be taking this all the way if I have too but the bottom line is don’t book an Urban Spaces apartment and  please I think about who you are booking through as hotels.com don’t want to know if you have issues with your rental property!
