Just had a week at the Rivendell.
We had 4 adults & 5 children & found plenty of space to sit together or escape for some quiet!
The bedrooms are all good , all with en-suites except one & there is a spare shower room down the corridor. 
The garden has a hot tub which was well used by us, maybe more /bigger outdoor table & chairs would be an improvement.
The dining table is big with plenty of chairs & a separate lounge.
The kitchen is really well stocked as is the bar with plenty of glasses.
We found everything to be really clean & the location excellent.

Lovely house for families

Stayed with family including young children and older parents.  House is amazing and had everything we needed for the week, everything was within walking distance which was amazing and the owners were very nice and friendly.
The only thing I would say to parent with young children or children with additional needs is that the area between the house and garden isn’t enclosed in any way so you can’t let  them run from the house to the garden without supervision, sure the neighbours enjoyed watching me chase my youngest up the street the one occasion I took my eyes off him for a second and he tried to run thinking it was hysterical! Would be beneficial to have a gate or some form of retractable screen. 
There is also some steps up to the patio door from the car park which isn’t mentioned that I can see, incase anyone in your party has mobility issues (there’s is a rail though) although the side door entrance is only a few steps around the corner.  Overall has a lovely time, location was perfect. Mini golf at the bottom of the street was really well maintained and the beach hut cafe did lovely breakfasts and lunches.

Lovely house

Beautiful house, plenty of room for a family of 13!! We met some of our family members who live in Scotland whilst we live in London; this was a lovely, spacious house of which was beautifully kept and well designed. The bar was a lovely extra and we felt right at home. 
Hot tub was amazing! Cleaned thoroughly everyday. This house really did cater for us all. The dining table was massive and made having family dinners so homely!  Big thank you to the owners for having us all. 
We will return in the future :)

Gorgeous house, beautiful hot tub, so spacious!

Rivendell is now a holiday rental rather than a B&B.  Our group of five couples spent a pleasant week there.  Six bedrooms with five en-suite and plenty of space meant we were all comfortable.  The house is reasonably well equipped and located in a quiet street about five minutes walk to North Beach.  A One-Stop shop is a few minutes walk.  There are plenty of places to eat and drink although some of the pubs on / near the seafront were dire.  Nearby we found the Cookhouse was modern and quite good for food and drink.  The Marine Bar is ten minutes walk and did excellent real ale (in Good Beer Guide) and also we did a quiz at Seabirds Inn nearby.  The Old Town is about twenty minutes walk and so much better than the prom area.  If you are a large group the Rivendell offers good value and we would certainly go again if were to visit the area again.  Ian and Lynne live next to the house and were available to help whenever needed.  In spite of the unseasonably wet weather we all had a good week.

Good Holiday Rental for Large Group

This property has all that you need for a weeks stay, although it can sleep more people it was ideal for our group, 4 double and 2 double/single bed rooms and all had on-suite except only 1 room.
The kitchen/dining area is very spacious with lots of comfortable seating.
The lounge is very nice with chesterfield sofas (although we did not use it), a hot tub in the private garden is a nice touch and there is ample parking.
The owner Ian is on hand if anything goes wrong and also is happy to chat about anything to make your stay better.
Ideal for a big family gathering or like us a lads golfing week

Golf Break

Very happy whith the service I get and the quality of the meals I get I would definitely staye hear againe have stayed hear a few times as have members of my family I am hoping to a couple of times this year

Rivendall hotel

I go twice a year to Bridlington & always go to the Rivendell Hotel. Lynne & Iain are superb hosts, the food is fantastic & the rooms are so clean & fresh & are en suite. It's in a great location, only 5 minutes from the beach & the new leisure complex. I would highly recommend this hotel, I've been coming here for 15 years, say no more.

A great place

We stayed for three nights in early August and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Lyn met us at the door and went through the normal booking in procedure. We were there at the recommendation of some friends and were not disappointed. The room was adequate but very clean and well decorated the only snag being the soap dish located above the small sink. The evenings meals were varied and you could choose what you wanted on arrival, and at breakfast. Breakfasts followed a standard pattern with the usual Full English breakfast and a few additions. The car park is OK if you have a small or medium sized car but could be a problem for those with larger ones.
