Rustic lodge with only 10-12 bungalows.

Wonderful views of a massive bend in the Nile River.

Staff are exceptional and accommodating; special kudos to the chef and Drusilla for arranging a local meal for us, matoke and beef stew.

AC was effective; perfect place to get if the grid as WiFi was only in the lobby area.

Beautiful setting at headwaters of the Nile. Outstanding and creative food. One stays in individual cabins. Relaxing outdoor area with pool and sun area. Area to have a campfire in evening. The staff called in a local massage therapist who gave several in our party excellent service.   Beautiful views of the river, a perfect ending to a tour of sights in Uganda.

Kipling Lodge was a truly lovely place to stay whilst me and my friend were exploring Jinja which I would highly recommend! Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly, welcoming staff and the amazing view of the Nile - a perfect start to our weekend gettaway. Our cottage was stylish, clean, and the beds very comfortable. The restaurant and pool area offer a homely but luxirous atmosphere where it was easy to socialize with others but also enough spots to retreat and just enjoy the Nile. 
 
The highlight of our stay at Kipling Lodge was their level of quality, especially when it comes to their food. Having visited several lodges in Uganda in the past, I can honestly say that Kipling's food stands out. The staff cultivates their own produce on-site and prioritizes local ingredients, down to the locally made pottery. You can taste their passion for food throughout their original dishes in which they use both local and continental flavors leading to a food experience I will surely not forget..

Many, many thanks to the staff for making this such a special experience - we will come back for sure!

This was about my 4th visit to Kipling Lodge and to be honest, I cannot wait to go back already! From the mouth watering 3 course meals, to the most comfortable sleeps in the middle of nowhere, to the unbeatable view of the River Nile while swimming in natural looking pool - I honestly wish I could pack my bags and head to Kayunga at least once a month.

The customer service is amazing, everyone is so helpful, forever smiling and eager to help with anything you many need (including staying up to the wee hours of the morning to give us ice and fix the bonfire) - what a team!

At this point Drucilla, Doreen 1 and Doreen 2 have been added to my speed dial and are a short 1 and a half hour drive away :) 

I'll never not love this spot, best enjoyed with everyone there but most especially with family and friends <3

I've been at Kipling several times over the last years, once with my family just before COVID (my kids were 3 & 5 years old), and most of the time on business trips with close business partners and friends. This place is so relaxing and inspiring. Perfect place to reflect on personal items and really inspirational to work on business items. You're focused with good internet connection with a wonderfull view on the Nile. I'd easily call this this place my second home, people working there are very kind and always there to make your trip exclusive and memorable.  The food is just amazing and vegetables are from the garden in front of the Kipling. At night I always like to come across the owner Alex to share a beer and have fun. Next time I'll go for Nyege Nyege festival and stay out there.

a very quiet lodge, with a beautiful view of the falls and the river.  A very friendly welcome with a smile and helpful.  well cared for and the food is tasty with a Belgian gastronomic touch, end the evening after a boat trip on the Nile with a cozy campfire.

Everything was perfect! The calm, the view, the food was AMAZING and the kindnest of all the staff! The room was really Nice, clean and confortable with moustiquaire . We where there with young children and they loved the place. I really recommended this place !

Fantastic stay at this lodge. Super friendly hosts, staff are incredibly friendly, obliging, respectful. The food is extremely  good, so are the wines, the view is top notch at sunset. This location is perfect v I will definitely come back here. with matoke tours!

Stunning location and scenery, beautiful rooms, great food and wonderfull staff.  this is a great boutique hotel. One of these finds you'd really like to keep for yourself :-)  But they deserve good press and recognition.  So go stay and enjoy!

I have been all over and about but this one of the best places I have been to in Uganda Its overwhelming beautiful.

The view is amazing, the food surprises you at each meal. The rooms are clean, with instant hot water. The sound of the river can be heard at each point of the lodge.
