We stayed here for several days during July. The rooms are basic, but have air conditioning, wifi, and hot water. The rooms have balconies, and clotheslines, which is great for airing out towels after the beach.

The common area has several tables, and is covered in grape vines. We were lucky to be there when the fruit was in season, and our hosts almost always sent us to the beach with fresh grapes. Additionally, there are beverages available for purchase in this area, which was very convenient.

The property is only a 30 minute walk to the beach, and aside from a brief section, there is a wide sidewalk. Restaurants and convenience stores are only a five minute walk from the property.

Due to misunderstanding with a ticket agent, we missed a night bus and needed to stay an extra night. Though no one spoke English, they stayed up until almost midnight helping us plan the easiest way to get to Istanbul the following day, and made staying the extra night as easy as possible.

Nicest Hosts

The people here are wonderful. The rooms have wifi, air conditioning, hot water and are extremely affordable. The balconies sport lovely views of the mountains and the breakfast is to die for. It included a freshly made delicious omelette, lovely potato salad, green and black olives, fresh local honey and bread, cheese, fresh cut pears and honey dew melon. Simply delicious! The old lady who made it really knows what she's doing and is extremely sweet and friendly. I doubt very much you could find a more charming place to stay in Gelemis. Don't miss out on this gem in one of the nicest places to visit in this beautiful country.

Lovely place and the best breakfast in Turkey!

Long ago I searched for quiet and calm places in Turkey. Patara was on top of the list. In january 
I crossed it but had not seen it properly. So after being almost three weeks in Fethiye I wanted to head to Patara, but I could not find a budget place until this place came along. 
Teacher pansiyon is just a bit before the center of the cute friendly village and is surrounded by mountains. Somehow my room gave me the 'highwaymotelmovie' feeling. What felt quite cool :-). As hoped the bed was very comfortable as I have a backproblem) and wifi connection is good. At start it was a bit dusty and I had problems with the toilet, but after a while I understood it was a trick. Next time when Saliha had cleaned my room she left a mix of beautiful flowers. 

Saliha makes very good breakfast, and she makes the jellies herself. She cooked twice dinner for me, it was a lot, looked healthy and it was very tasty. For 10 lira! 

Ramazan, the retired teacher picked me up at the road when I got off the buss, gave me a ride to the beach when needed, and when I left he did everything to be sure I would catch the right bus and gave me some fruit of his organic garden for on the road.

Patara - especially the protected area around the beach with the ancient ruines - is some of the most beautiful and magical places I have ever seen / experienced. And thanks to this low budget place I had the opportunity to explore it in my own rythm and time.

A 'cool' basic friendly and warm typically  turkish environment

No WiFi no mobile signal no balcony and a dead night life outside, I felt like a prisoner..No where to go or do anything in the evening  Then again I was a solo traveller , so having no technology must be working for many. basic accommodation but a Very good host though
