Beautiful food! Really tasty, generous portion sizes and lovely presentation. Excellent value. Staff are incredibly friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. The roof terrace is stunning and has incredible views over the marina. This is one I would definitely go back to. 

It’s worth noting for new and returning visitors, that prices everywhere in Kalkan have risen a lot since 2023.

Fantastic food and location

My wife and I went to the restaurant on our first night in Kalkan. Shortly after placing our order and receiving our first drinks my wife became very ill and it became very clear that we needed to leave and go back to our hotel. Upon seeing how poorly my wife was, the staff could not do enough for us both, they were all so concerned and wanted to do as much as they could to help her. We felt that the best option was for us to have a slow walk back to our hotel that was only a short distance away. 

As we were leaving the restaurant, a young female staff member could be heard running down the stairs chasing after us. To my amazement they had quickly packed up our food order for us to take with us in case we were up to eating it later that evening. 

Much later that night when my wife started to feel better we did have some of the food, although it was by now obviously cold and would have been better eaten while warm, although it all still looked and and tasted amazing. 

Now when any of the staff see us out and about on an evening, they come over and check she is ok and the concern they show for her is always heart felt and sincere.

Thank you to everybody at the Old Trading House. You are amazing, your service is 1st class as is the food you serve.

Excellent food served by caring, friendly and amazing staff

Stayed at the Old Trading House for 5 nights,  our own little apartment in Kalkan was occupied, so I just needed somewhere to stay that was close by. The room was spacious, clean and bright, I had a quaint little balcony where I could watch the world go by whilst enjoying a glass of wine or two :) .  I ate at the hotel a couple of times with my family, the food was lovely, and the staff were really friendly.  Location was perfect as right in the village and the views from the roof terrace are amazing.

I have booked for my son and his girlfriend for September.  Would definitely recommend

Great Little find in the heart of the village

Walked by this restaurant a few times on our downhill travels and finally made it to the roof terrace. Menu looked great and the Wild Boar stood out to me. We both ordered Wild Boar and were not let down. Staff great and friendly and the coffe at the end tasty. Only suggestion was to give option of rice as a change from chips.

Have a really lovely evening at the Old Trading House last night. Barish and his team provided faultless service and the food was delicious.  Can’t believe we’d not stumbled upon this little gem before ! The cinnamon lamb was a real treat and so was the speciality lamb pie.  Fantastic roof top setting with stunning views.  We only wished we’d seen the lovely hotel rooms before we had booked accommodation! Definitely worth a visit. We will be coming back. Liz and Nick

Wonderful

We didn't stay at the property but rather just had dinner on the terrace. We couldn't speak more highly of the incredible service, beautiful Turkish menu and lovely views across the harbour. A highlight of our trip.

Beautiful restaurant - highly recommend!

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting Kalkan. The hotel is a great little find, it’s basic, clean and comfortable. Baris the host is very helpful and very welcoming :-)
Kalkan is very hilly, the hotel is based low down towards the harbour so only a short walk to the beach and surrounded by lanes of shops, restaurants and bars. The restaurant at the hotel is lovely and the service is faultless. The Turkish breakfast is lovely and the views from the roof terrace are astounding. Would definitely recommend a stay here :-) 

Great little find 

Brilliant weeks holiday at The Old Trading House.Room overlooking the old street was amazing.staff were also amazing,highly recommend.Bonus was they also have a sister hotel you can use nearby which is also amazing called Elixir.

Week in olde town

This four-room hotel and restaurant situated close to the harbour in the old town was a real find. We were lucky enough to stay for 11 nights and wished it could have been longer. We had room 11 with a traditional wooden balcony overlooking an atmospheric little backstreet. To our left we could see the sea and to the right a glimpse of mountain, but at breakfast on the roof terrace each morning we had a magnificent panoramic view out over the harbour and the bay to start the day.
The room was clean and comfortable with an excellent shower and fridge. The aforementioned breakfast was huge, healthy and excellent, accompanied by eggs cooked to order.
From the moment we arrived to the last goodbye, we were made to feel at home and experienced friendliness, kindness and first class service.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a few minutes walk from the harbour and beach and Kalkan's dazzling array of bars, cafes, shops and restaurants. Talking of restaurants, the hotel's own two-level roof terrace offers lovely, reasonably priced food and top notch service. We ate there a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed it. The lamb's liver is wonderful.
In all, a great place to stay. We hope to be back!

Little gem of a hotel

Nice staff, very homely atmosphere and excellent food. Stuffed sea bass and swordfish steak plus complimentary house Meze, espresso, amaretto shot and Turkish delight. Reasonable priced menu. I would recommend this place.
