Gunes Pansiyon

We stayed for a week at the end of September -20 people on a choral singing retreat. We didn't want to leave - it was such a perfect holiday. Yanos, the owner, is delightful, kind, friendly and fun. He creates a warm hospitable gem in an orange garden with chickens, and sleek cats, two minutes walk down a quiet track to the sea in an unspoilt village on a quiet coast, protected for nesting turtles. Swimming at night, there were sparkling phosphorescent stars in the sea under a starlit sky. The rooms are in lovely, clean, well furnished bungalows. The food is Turkish and delicious. Yanos's family has lived in Cirali for generations. No high rise buildings. Very friendly people. Most tourists are on yoga or meditation retreats. The walks and local sights reveal the ancient civilisations which have flourished here. Mount Olympus, Zeus's home, is nearby. I would recommend Gunes Pansyon wholeheartedly and will definitely come back. It is worth the long (very beautiful) taxi ride from Antalya airport. You don't need a car here. You are in paradise - the land of the gods.
