Generally, I would agree with the rest that this motel is value for the price we paid, NT$1350. However, the receptionist was not very honest. One night before we check out, I ask the night receptionist how much is it to extend for 5 hours, he replied $200NT per hour, which makes that $1000. I understand the reason for the premium fee. As I was not too sure of my final plan on the next day, I informed that I will confirm in the morning. The next day, in the morning, I reconfirmed with the receptionist the price and it remains the same. So I told her that I will confirm extend and she advised that I have to pay NT$1000 upfront. I agreed and requested to either get my room tidy up or I at least need a shower gel. Suddenly, she mentioned that she got it wrong and needed NT$1500! How can my 5 hours be more expensive than my per day rate? Secondly, I confirmed twice with 2 different person and so, how can she "suddenly" got it wrong? The hotels around that area all charge between NT$100 to max $200, so how can they charge so much more while there are only a 2 - 2.5 star hotel?

So I would still say that price is equal to value, so if it is still for a stay, just manage your expectation to a 2.5 star motel but be careful when dealing with the receptionist. 

Value for Money but be careful of cheat!

Located within walking distance to the train station and a number of eateries nearby.
Clean and big room (with big bathroom) in a very cheap price!
It has a water cooler for you to fill in your water.

Would recommend everyone to stay here while visiting Kaohsiung. Friendly staff, clean rooms and bathroom. Excellent location near Main Station MRT and bus station.
Staff was kind enough to store our luggage after check out.

Great!

From my experience, this is one of the top hotels in their price range (NT1000-1500 per night). Friendly staff, big and clean rooms, fantastic location (5 minute walk from Kaohsiung train station, 15-20 minute walk from Liuhe night market). By the way, there is a café near the hotel which sells great pork ribs bento!

If I ever visit Kaohsiung again, I'd definitely stay at this hotel again.

Value for money!

it was very easy to find and a very short walk from the mrt which was very convenient. the staff was very friendly and did all they could to help. one of them actually accompanied my husband all the way to the bank when he wanted to change money which was really nice. the room was compact but had all amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. bathroom was a good size. though there was no window in the room, we didn't miss it as we were there only to sleep and change. the kenting bus is just 1 min away.
