53 reviewsWe stayed for 2 nights, I don't want to say basic, it was adequate. Clean, good Wi-fi. we had a room on the 2nd floor, and we had a balcony, no fridge, but we just left our cold drinks out on the balcony to chill them, you are fairly high (altitude wise) so the temperature was much lower than it was in other parts of Taiwan. The hotel gave you all the instructions you needed for climbing the mountain for sunrise or sunset, whichever/both you wish to observe. As for the village, pleasant little place, plenty of eateries and plenty gift shops for you to wonder around. Don't just come for 1 or 2 nights, spend a few days here, the transport links are second to none, its a beautiful part of Taiwan, enjoy your time here. It can take 5/6hrs to get here from Taipei / Kaohsiung by train / bus
